Ponikarovsky is a great athlete but he doesn't have the mind for the game to make much use of it. He's strong and can skate & shoot. Antropov has a lot of skill, great hockey player. Antropov is strong in the offensive zone and between the blue lines, Ponie can clog up the middle good but neither one of them can back-check well enough. Still they're both strong in less hectic parts of the game, at the blue line, but they can't pick up men around their own net.

dude i was at that game too, antropov sucked. he had 2 ridiculous opportunities to score and just threw them away. like when danis dove to one side of the net, and there was a scrum there and the islanders were trying to get rid of the puck, but some rangers player got it and chucked it out in front of the net, antropov was there, took it, and instead of shooting it right into the open net he took it and skated around with it until defenders were all over him. i was so pissed

What section were you in I was in 311 and the seats sucked.You also have to remember he is nevous and playing under a new system so give him time but he is huge I was like there's Antropov!
