Really? The artist wanted the picture to seem real, so he put it in a baby. It could be a baby with a rare disease and tried to be blessed by the Lord Jesus. I think that Christ and art should never have been attempted, especially by Da Vinci, who was an un-believer. Da Vinci painted a lie if he intended such a scene. First, there was never such a table in the pascha feast. The table was short. The Lord and the disciples lay or sat on couches and propped up their backs and heads on pillows in a Greco-Roman fashion. It looks like that man is wearing a blue robe with the sleeve showing to the left of the baby. there is a hand between the surprised one and the baby. The hand is holding an object. Cant tell if it is Judas' hand holding the object or the whispering dude. I guess it would have helped if I had educated myself on who's who in this painting...sorry guys. Is the object a fish?

Yes, it's quite likely that Da Vinci purposely placed an image of a baby there. However, in reality, Da Vinci lived at least 1,000 years after Jesus did. Literally speaking, Da Vinci's opinions about what the real Jesus was like could be 1,000+ years off the mark.

This is a fantastic discovery!! Da Vinci's fresco has got a perspective... I would suggest to come down to Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. The baby can be seen perfectly!. It is a baby that has been hidden for centuries and has been finally discovered.

Um, that's Judas's neck & right shoulder. The "lump" on his shoulder is his trapezius. His left shoulder is covered by a greenish cloak but the right shoulder is covered in the blue cloth of his tunic. Not only that, but you can clearly see that the "butt" of the "baby" is the man's bent elbow & forearm. HIs wrist is covered in the same blue cloth as his sleeve, his hand is protruding from the end of that sleeve.

And no, Andrew is not trying to say anything to a non-existent baby.
