  • slasher indexed did 2 vhs reviews in 1 video in cardboard. what movie was it? cabana shirt beer drinking guy.goofy looking direct to video with girl on cover.

  • Btw Lunch Meat was relaeased in 1987. I used to see the box cover at the vhs rental stores when I was a little kid and the box cover always stuck to me but couldnt remember the name of it! After seeing this video I searched it on amazon...not only is it not availible on dvd but ONE vhs was found USED and its 100 bucks lol

  • Dont be afraid of the dark is indeed out on dvd officially

  • these are great videos,I LOVE those big boxes, they're so rare and amazing...it's my dream to find Make Them Die Slowly,I love the art work..P.S. I just recently have seen your videos and collection and it's a dream come true!

  • I luved this movie as a kid as it was one of the first that really scared me. Saw it on Chiller Thriller.

  • I was creeped out by Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark, too. I bet that is the one you're talking about. Thanks for commenting. Later, J.

  • @KandJHorrordotcom I have all of those videos on VHS and the boxes are mint or near mint. I found SUSPIRIA in excellent condition at a flea market. I am looking for the sci-fi movie called ARENA The actor from STAR TREK DEEP SPACE NINE called Quark (Armin Shimmerman) is on this Arena movie. I wantit on original VHS but sadly it is on SAD DVD. If you can find this video, please let me know...Thanks!

  • still loving ur videos :)

  • Thanks. I just put some new vids up called ENCORE series. Later, J.

  • niiiiiice

dont be afraid of the dark is not cheap online

hear of a re release when the remake hits theatres?

check out our horror movie reviews all month

horror DVDS available on our channel

  • Thanks. And you're right. Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark is hard to find, like this. Is the DVD out yet? Later, J.

  • the DVD is going for a bit on the regular buying sites

    bootleg sites, $15

  • Iv just ordered Dont be afraid of the dark in the big box from a guy in the usa :) i am over the moon ps i love the guys voice in this video xx

  • Great score! It is still a very hard film to get. If the box has been cut, it can be easier but if it is still intact, you usually have to pay a pretty penny. That's my voice... guilty. hehe. Thanks for commenting. Peace, J.

  • On a very lucky day, some of these ultra rare, long out of print vhs tapes pop up every now and then on eBay

  • You're right. If there ever was a place you'd have a chance to get one, it would be Ebay. Thanks for checking out the vid, too. Later, J.

  • WOW!!! You're horror collection makes my mouth water!!! I could sit and look at your collection all day!!! I tried to collect rare horror vhs tapes at closing video stores like A-1 Video and flea markets here where i live in southeastern North Carolina, but your awesome collection puts mine to shame!! I subscribed to your videos...they are awesome and my YouTube favorites!! Thanks!!

  • I used to go to that A-1 Video and buy videos off their USED for-sale rack. They had a good selection of old VHS tapes. I missed it when they went out of biz. I was upset, too. I was going to buy that store up. Next time I came back, it was shut down. Missed my chance. But, I've hit many more stores just like that one that were closing down and I sucked 'em dry of their VHS racks. I hate to see 'em go, but glad to get their vids. Tough situation. Glad you like the vids I made. Later on. J.

  • I'm not sure how rare this movie is...but have you ever seen a horrible movie called Blood Shack? The guy says something like "don't go in that old house or The Chooper will getcha" then his head flops to the ground in a terribly acted death scene lol. I remember Peanuts the pony was a main star in the credits lol

  • Blood Shack is a rare film. Not too rare. I don't have it under that title. I have it under the title The Chooper. I watched it once and even reviewed it on my real website. I sorda liked it. So cheap, yet tried so hard to make it work. Not the worst I've seen by far. Haunted starring Aldo Ray, always reminded me of The Chooper (or Blood Shack). At least the setting of the film. I thought Haunted was pretty bad. Much worse than The Chooper. Check that one out sometime & tell me your thoughts. J.

  • Cool...i will. I'd love to get Peter Jackson's Bad Taste..like that movie, especially when the legless dude throws pinecones at the crazy guy lol

  • I got Bad Taste. It's good, of course. Gore flick with almost non-stop action can't be too bad. I made sure I got a copy with the alien giving "the bird" and not the "peace sign" on my box's cover-art. I have the VHS, I'm not sure about the DVD cover-art. Corny, silly, blood-dripping flick. Like his Dead Alive (unrated). Wacky, gore-flicks are his best movies to me (not his new stuff, IMO). Later, J.

  • What would you say are your favorite killer-in-the-woods slashers? I like Just Before Dawn, The Prey and Wrong Turn...love a backwoods inbred killer lol. What is your opinion on the original Bob Clark's Black Christmas? I haven't seen it yet lol

  • The backwoods slashers are tough. Hate to not mention one that is good, ya know. I didn't like The Prey, much. Don't Go Into The Woods, not good either. Just Before Dawn, is GREAT. The Burning, SUPER. Camp Blood 1 & 2 are more recent and pretty good to me, but real cheap. The Final Terror, is OK. Madman, is AWESOME. Man, you know as many as I do, I'd bet (or more). The original Black Christmas is very good. Tense, serious, nail-biter. Not too much gore, but great suspense. Beats the remake!! J.

  • is there any way you could send me a picture of the backside cover of Lunchmeat?

    thanks a bunch.

  • Dude, I'm sorry, I don't have a way of pulling that off, right now. Thanks for watching though. Later, J.

  • I have Motel Hell on VHS & DVD. Thanks for the very kind offer though. Motel Hell is a classic. I love the movie, but hate the nasty sound the people buried in the ground make, because of their removed vocal cords. I love the line about the "traps" making him the happiest in life. Sister Ida is great, too. What a pair. Meat's meat and a man's gotta eat! Great line. And... She cooked that dog, like a hog. Vincent, that old man, lands the hot chick in the film, too. Haha. Thanks again, though. J.

  • I watched Lunch Meat again recently, after posting the vid showing it, because people were asking quesions about it. It is a low bud type Texas Chainsaw Massare, kind of. It is a backwoods type horror with "cannibal hillbilly's" as the bad guys. It is not bad. You'll be glad you watched it for sure. IMO. Remember though... low budget. Peace, J.

  • This is one of the best Horror TV movies of the 1970's, along with "Trilogy of Terror", and "The NIght Stalker". This movie really creeped me out when I saw it in 1973, I was around 7 yrs. old. I swear, for about a year after I saw this I couldn't stand being in a dark room for long. Now, I appreciate it for the great Horror movie that it is. Very atmospheric and moody, and SCARY!

  • Agreed. Those little mini-monster things were creepy. Trilogy Of Terror, the segment with the Zuni Fetish Doll was one of the best EVER. I can't believe the sequel to that copied it so much, all the way down to trapping the doll in a suitcase again. Burn it to death in an oven or boil it away in toxic chemicals, there is no killing the spirit within the ZUNI. Let's hope for a part III (and hope that it's done right, without too much CGI, which could ruin it if overdone. IMO.). Later, J.

  • Jhorror, You say "for part 3", is there going to be a third part? GG

  • I don't have any idea. Creepshow 3 came out though. So, I would not doubt it. Later, J.

  • Hey Jhorror, This is GG again. do you know if "Don't be afraid of the Dark" is ever going to come out on DVD? that would be great! I'd love for a box set of 70's TV horror movies to come out. This "dream box" (or nightmare box)would include "Don't be afraid...", "The Night Stalker", "Trilogy of Terror", "The Norliss Tapes", and any other one of those great movies not mentioned.

  • Don't know again. Sorry. That would be a great idea. It would sell a lot of copies. Those horror movies that were made back then for TV have a lot of fans. Great films. Later, J.

  • Lunch Meat is a movie I have been trying to get my hands on for YEARS. Just can't seem to get lucky enough to snatch it up.

  • Keep up the efforts and it'll be yours in time. I just watched it again a few days ago. Not too much to say. Like a low budget TCM, really. Thanks for checking out my stuff. Peace, J.

  • I have 2 copies of Lunch meat, one is even more rare than this one and is a release from Japan. I'm actually considering selling it.

  • lunch meat is really rare....ur lucky to have it dude...

  • Cool. I watched it once when I first got it and haven't seen it since. Kind of a low bud TCM, if I remember right. Thanks for checking the channel out. Peace, J.

  • dang. how much money do you spend? lol i wish i had that much money to spend on these films.

  • Too much, I'm sure. I wish I had the money back I spent on these films (without returning the films, of course). lol.

In all honesty I always figured it like this... If I spend the money today to get the film I want then I'll have it forever, or I could not spend the money on the film and I would end up spending the money on something else anyway (fastfood & junk) and end up with nothing to show. So, I usually just buy "it" if I want "it" and worry about it later. Peace, J.

  • great stuff. Gotta see Lunch Meat sometime. i'd love to see more big boxes if you have the time to show em off.

  • Thanks, I'll see what I can do about that. I am going to try to show every rack up close, in some fashion soon. I won't be pulling each video out because it would take too long, but I'll be getting close enough to the racks to show off the titles. Every bigbox I own will be shown at that point and I'll make sure I pull out some of them, especially if I consider it to be rare. Later, J.

  • True. I couldn't pass it up though, even though the box is sadly probably the most damaged of any in my collection. Great flick as well!

  • Luch meat! Mine has seen better days. Got lucky and found it in a mom and pop store in 2002 but the bottom is missing. Great vid by the way :)

  • Yeah, most Lunch Meat boxes are pretty beat up. I don't know why? I know they're old. Mine is rough around the edges itself.
