  • Thats an SL300 if im not mistaking..

  • What a wonderful outstanding song!!! Thanks for showing the mic and allowing us to hear your song.

  • niceeeee... really good sound fella .. i have a question : i just bought a usb mic a week a go and of course in this case i don't need any interface but what about for monitors , how can i setup everything with my usb mic ?? i would need interface just for connect the monitors ???

  • @pasoaka Yeah, you could use an interface for your speakers. set one as the output and the usb mic as the input.

  • can u hear your self record thru the mac ...since the editors keys sl150 .does not have a JACK .. or do u use a interface with it ?

  • @passa Yeah, you monitor through the software (garageband or whatever).

  • what program can I use if I haven't got a mac?

  • @LaraGmusic If you want a free program, many people use a simple program called Audacity - google it. At the minute I use something called Mixcxraft (pretty cheap for a software program) but am getting pro tools soon. Got this mic, pretty pleased with it.

  • You should upload the finished version of the song haha i keep listening to it lol

  • I like your song!

  • what about the SL300?

  • @OnlyOneWeaver Garageband

  • @OnlyOneWeaver Garageband.

  • iv recieved this last week and yes i just looked on the mic box im soo excited but its a shame i cant have it until my birthday :(

  • im getting the Vocal Booth Home, SL300 Mic & Pop Filter Bundle. Do you have to have a Mac computer to insert microphone usb cable into? or can you use any brand to use it so?

  • @carlisleloz Nope, can be any mac or PC

  • im getting it for my birthday :D

  • do you honestly think the vocal booth is good? i might purchase one for my blue yeti

  • @DeanVlogs Yes, it's very helpful in a typical bedroom space.

  • Once you plug it in does in come with a software?

  • @pinoykicks No software. Will work with any recording software you have generally.

  • @recordingrevolution oh alright, thank you very much!:D I am looking forward to buying this Microphone at Guitarcenter

  • Do you know if Editors key ships to Australia?

  • You go so hard!! nice singing

  • I have this microphone :) But I don't have the vocal booth with it..

  • dag, i like this

  • Whats better the Editors Key or an Audio Technica? USB Mic.

  • Guess what??? It is the same as de Fame CU1 Usb Condenser Mic, same manufacture company ... that costs less....

  • did you make that beat im feel it ! and the singing ! you mind if i samplethe beat beat?

  • how if you record an acoustic guitar with this mic? please make a review video :) thanks!!

  • where to get this in US?

  • new the question is what audio card do u have coz thats the only thing can make the difference.

  • @ProLikeThat The audio card/interface plays no role in recording with this mic since it is USB. It goes directly to your computer as a digital source.

  • @recordingrevolution That's what is so great about USB Mic's.

  • Sounds awesome. You got a good voice , can you test the Yeti Blue Mic . thanks.

  • I just got the SL150 2011 edition and it sounds beautiful. Only it's very quiet in Logic even though I've adjusted the volume in System Preferences. Any suggestions? I'm very impressed with your vocals on the mic by the way.

  • do you really not get any reverb with your reflection filter or is the room treated a little bit?

  • @TheDymondusic It really is just the portable vocal booth. Soloed you might hear some reflections, but in the mix it works beautifully.

  • @TheDymondusic wonderful .. thanks :)

  • Hi! Are all mic stands compatible with any mic? Or do you know where I can find one for this specific one?

    Thanks in advance!

  • @TR4J1Kx This version comes with it's own stand. Editors Keys makes a version that attaches to any mic stand.

  • @recordingrevolution

    Awesome! Thanks! (:

  • is the recording booth effective?

  • @mrDeffBeatz the portable booth works hella good. your vocals will sound more fuller with less feedback from bad acoustics in your room

  • nvm i found it lol

  • that reflection filter is MASSIVE. i need to get my hands on one. whats the brand???

  • does it work on laptops ? nice tune and also sounds cool

  • @corrydagga yes, it works good on laptops.

  • this or the AT2020? ebay has the AT2020 new for about $100.. This i have to purchase from Editors keys website and idk if they ship to Canada yet..

  • @DJparsons89 between this and the AT2020, I would have to go with this. right off the bad, the vocals from the SL150 STUPID(crazy) clear, without having to mess with the EQ, compressor, etc. when the AT2020 is good, but to make is sound like the SL150, you're gonna have to mess with the EQ, you know.

  • CAN U HEAR URSELF LIVE WHILE RECORDING WITH HEADPHONES? I KNOW OTHER USB MICS U CANT HEAR UR VOICE LIVE WHILE RECORDING

  • @tray457 Yes, it's not an issue of the mic, but your software or computer settings.

  • I'm not sure if you can answer this, but do you know the difference between the sl150 and the sl300? I was interested in the sl150 but it's temporarily sold out, so I was wondering if I should get the sl300. Thanks for the help

  • @LUKENINE23 The 300 comes with a pad and low-cut switch. The 150 does not.

  • Yo' that track is banging !

I have a lot of respect for you mate.

  • Where do you live?we need to do an album together this song rocks. We can email our tracks to each other.I rap, semi sing and just started making beats. That song is hot.

  • MIC SOUNDS NICE!! VOICE & TRACK ARE BANGIN AS WELL. WHAT KIND OF SHIELDING WERE YOU USING ON YOUR MIC STAND?

  • @StarBoyJonesProds Thanks. Using the Portable Vocal Booth from Editors Keys.

  • you have a nice voice.

  • Does it come with a stand???

  • @yankeesravens2398 Nope, it can attach to any mic stand you already have.

  • @yankeesravens2398 it does it you get the studio setup of the mic. it comes with everything he was using (sound booth, mic, pop filter, and stand) that will obviously be more expesive tho. you can get it at editors keys.

  • @yankeesravens2398 you can buy the stand with the bundle

  • I wanna seriously thank you i have been looking for a mic for the longest and i couldnt find anything and i saw this mic and i wasnt sure what it was like i found your vid and you convinced me im definitely buying this mic. so happy that its cheap ive been waiting for a mic and im finally gonna get one. Thank You

  • @CANNONakaHADDY Glad I could be of help. I'm sure you'll really enjoy this mic.

  • @YouNoDiss In the not too distant future when I finish it :-) I'll have it on my site I'm sure.

  • this sounds really good..right now I use the samson G Track which a pretty good usb mic..but..Im really thinking of upgrading..whered you get the portable boothe from?

  • @hessoofficial The vocal booth is also from Editors Keys. It's all on their website.

  • does the sl150 with sound booth with pop filter worth £159.99 come with a mic stand? write back thank you :D

  • @FRESHTELEVISION2010 I don't believe so. This is the "Home" version that attaches to your own stand.

  • fantastic review mate trust me im buying one thank you very much........

  • @BadManRecords2010 Glad I could help!

  • @recordingrevolution great help my friend trust me p.s. great vocals you sure have a good voice. all the best..

  • im trying to figure out something, what is black circle thing in front of the dude? i need to know what it is called?

  • @chibivargas It is a "Portable Vocal Booth" also from Editors Keys. Very cool product.

  • god damn i love that song, is there a dl link anywhere?

  • Im seriously considering getting this,

do i need to get a pop shield and a mixer thing too?

i heard you gotta buy a mixer to make it louder though.

nice song by the way dude :)

  • @RobMorganMusic I definitely recommend a simple pop shield. WIll make a huge difference. You don't need a mixer if you have an audio interface or this USB mic. Simply adjust the gain so you have a good signal and then mix it accordingly in your software. Hope that helps!

  • @recordingrevolution awesome, thanks a lot man.

ordered it last night, thanks for the help!

  • @recordingrevolution I just got one today and i record using cubase. I cant find the gain anywhere it sounds like im whispering. any ideas?

  • @kevinfaulkner00 You might want to adjust the gain from the operating system. On a PC that would be in the control panel under audio. On a Mac that would be in the system pref's. Your computer sees the USB microphone as available to the whole computer so you can adjust the gain there.

  • Im seriously considering getting this,

do i need to get a pop shield and a mixer thing too?

i heard you gotta buy a mixer to make it louder

  • Nice review mate, just bought the SL300 but was considering the 150. Professional review :)

  • @GarswoodTV Thanks so much. Enjoy the mic!

  • very good

  • sounds fucking wonderfull

....your voice aint to bad either..does that mic justice

  • i order mines like 2 weeks ago and it still have not came int came in

  • how long did it take for you to get the mic

  • @LilDreDaRapper About a week I believe

  • how does it pick up a guitar though ?

  • @naryanr Although I haven't yet used it on acoustic guitar it sounds very similar to other top notch condenser mics that I use to record acoustics on a regular basis so I'm sure it would fair well.

  • @recordingrevolution you're not really supposed to use condenser mics for that sort of thing though. am i right ? i thought a dynamic mic was what suits instrumentals.

  • @naryanr Sure you are :-) I use condenser mics on acoustic guitars, drums, guitar amps, whatever. many people use dynamics for guitar amps, maybe that's what you're thinking. No right or wrong though.

  • Ahh dude great video. This just convinced me to buy one off the internet! :) Keep posting.

  • Can this be used with a usb audio interface because my laptop soundcard isn't great?

  • @sweetfeet104 Actually this microphone plugs USB straight in to your computer with no need for an audio interface.

  • @recordingrevolution but does it matter if my soundcard isn't very good? Will it reduce the quality?

  • @sweetfeet104 No, the computer soundcard will not affect the quality of signal coming from the USB microphone since it has it's own "soundcard" built in. Listening to your recordings and mixes through your soundcard, however, will affect what you hear. Make sense?

  • @recordingrevolution I think so. So if I can hear you perfectly, will the quality be the same for me when I playback my recordings?

  • @sweetfeet104 It's all subjective honestly. I'm not a gear junkie, but I will say this: investing in a simple USB audio interface from M-Audio or Presonus etc in the $100 to $150 range will make a huge impact on the audio conversion both going in and coming out of your computer. If you want to do even basic demos this is a solid investment.

  • @recordingrevolution Well thanks for all the help. I was thinking of using it more for voiceovers etc. You've been really helpful. Suscribed!

  • @sweetfeet104 No problem. If you're just doing voiceovers you can definitely get away with the Editors Keys mic and nothing else. Good to know!

  • Nice review man and awesome vocals. This vid got you another sub!

  • Thanks a lot. And thanks for subscribing!

  • Great info and even better vocals...I subscribed and will be checking out more. I have a lot to learn

    Thanks

  • steve...thanks for both the comment and subscribe. Glad I can be of help!

  • This is nice!!! I'm getting ready to start using Pro Tools it look tough but I got to learn some how. But keep up the videos and I love the blog.

  • Love your voice, man.

Also, you should have noted that it was just going through your computer's soundcard, another thing that a lot of people will attack. Drives your point even further home that you don't need to spend thousands to get an acceptable sound.

Great channel, subbed a while back. Very glad I did.

  • Thanks for the comment and for subscribing! You're so right that people don't need to spend even $1000 to get a great sound at home. Thanks again.

  • Thanks. Using an old pair of AKG K240s.

  • Sounds great! Very good vocals. What headphones are you using?
