This song title sound familiar? The lonely One was another song they wrote that sounds "eerily" familiar to the names of movies. They started by literally trying to force The Lonely One on a movie. No one ever contacted them to write the song, but a rep carried the song to the director. Without the production company's knowledge, or the musical director for that matter, he started working on incorporating it. The Production company sent them packing for trying to sneak in. Tossed off the lot.

No it's not a ridicules post.What is having to be a musician to do with anything,It's a well known technique in the music industry.However with all the technology available many just mime.Don't keep your tongue on the bottom of your mouth while you sing or talk.
Try and talk with your tongue flat on the base of the mouth and I assure you it will be difficult to do and even more difficult to pronounce the words correctly.Ronan Keating in Ireland does this too when he sings live which is rarely.
Ok let me explain in easy steps for you.If you watch the lead singer closely you will notice her tongue never leaves the bottom of her mouth as she sings. It's a technique some singers use to get volume out but leads to a horrible lispy and poorly pronounced vocal.
The technique is designed to free up the mouth from the obstruction of the tongue and allows the singer get the sound out easier but with the side effect of a lisp sound.
Ok some singers have naturally wide mouths or they are able to open then really wide.Take Linda Perry,Steven Tyler,Rachelle Ferrell and so on.However take coldplays lead singer his mouth is small and struggles at live events such as life eight concert.

Great song!! And Natalie's voice is so imposing and commanding. She does have a few pitch problems, which is not like her, but her voice makes a big diffrence for the Dixie Chicks!!

Natalie Maines herself. For almost a year, she admitted it was a pandering joke. They even include her admitting it was a joke in their own movie. Only when it would serve her better with latecomers like yourself did she 'flip flop" and decide she meant it. It wasn't the southern states that tossed them, it was C&W fans.

This song title sound familiar? The lonely One was another song they wrote that sounds "eerily" familiar to the names of movies. They started by literally trying to force The Lonely One on a movie. No one ever contacted them to write the song, but a rep carried the song to the director. Without the production company's knowledge, or the musical director for that matter, he started working on incorporating it. The Production company sent them packing for trying to sneak in. Tossed off the lot.

Needless to say, the movie industry that had a gut full of Weistein by this time, turned out NOT to be a marketing stream and a way for the Dixie Chicks to get back. Oh, well. Play hollywood long enough, and expect to become the tragedy you pretended to be.

Amazing song isnt it! I have been told it was written by someone who gave their baby up for adoption as a teenage mother. . Dont know if thats true or not but makes the lyrics believable, this is such a good show of Nats amazing voice!!

If a singer adopts the tongue on the base of the mouth technique then they will free up the mouth to allow more sound out.For a singer with a small mouth this can be a huge advantage I guess to get power out.Singers with wide mouths have no need for this technique.

Again, SO WHAT?? Who cares where they get their influence from? The Beatles were influenced by Carl Perkins, Elvis, Chuck Berry blah blah blah... Then they influenced just about everyone out there after they became big. Go wash your car or something please! As regards being on pitch the aol live sessions allowed autotune to be used on these live sessions and that's a fact.

No it's not a ridicules post.What is having to be a musician to do with anything,It's a well known technique in the music industry.However with all the technology available many just mime.Don't keep your tongue on the bottom of your mouth while you sing or talk.

Try and talk with your tongue flat on the base of the mouth and I assure you it will be difficult to do and even more difficult to pronounce the words correctly.Ronan Keating in Ireland does this too when he sings live which is rarely.

Ok let me explain in easy steps for you.If you watch the lead singer closely you will notice her tongue never leaves the bottom of her mouth as she sings. It's a technique some singers use to get volume out but leads to a horrible lispy and poorly pronounced vocal.

I do hate to see singers ruin their voice.
And she can get a lot of volume without doing that I think.
I like her voice on some things, and not others.

The technique is designed to free up the mouth from the obstruction of the tongue and allows the singer get the sound out easier but with the side effect of a lisp sound.

Ok some singers have naturally wide mouths or they are able to open then really wide.Take Linda Perry,Steven Tyler,Rachelle Ferrell and so on.However take coldplays lead singer his mouth is small and struggles at live events such as life eight concert.

One of my favorite songs. Occasionally they come up with a nice phrase, and "every time I'm feeling down, I wonder what would it be like with you around" qualifies. A beautiful song well sung, and the dude on the drums back there is really digging in!

The first time I heard this song, it was like I was sucker-punched in the stomach. I have one singular thought whenever I hear it, and I can't escape it. It still haunts me to this day. Yet, I love the song. It is without question my favorite Chicks song ever.
