Unfortunately WoW is sort of the McDonalds of mmos at this point (billions served means it's the #1 restaurant in the world, right?).

I was in a BG watching 3 people TRYING to kill one paladin and realized that if this game had ever come out in its current state (everything <85 broken, PvP? um yeah... content patch every 8 months...etc) and had to compete in a well established market (never mind without the massive financial backing that it has) it would be laughed off the shelves.

When do i expect a new content patch? well not soon enough and if it is sooner then i think then its going to blow ass kinda like firelands, yes the bosses are cool the area is awsome looking, and people have already downed all of it. seriously blizz needs to stop testing content publicly and get a inside raid team. and what they need to do is go back and look at TBC how many raids were in TBC and how many came out in 1 patch with how many bosses? hell look at ulduar 17 bosses with hardmodes.

I have been watching Mike when I found the reviews on Aion, that was the best time I have had on a game review - was like sex with my....wait not here. Anyways what gets me is why so little views? Almost 7k but the content and humor is always better than most of the people out there. Sad when a guy can sit down and play Call of Duty and get almost 500k in views and his commentary is tooting his own horn when at least Mike provides a great review and has humor.

Rift just doesn't have the PvP content to sustain the PvP playerbase. Not only that, but their PvP team simply has no idea what its doing. They're being led by the guy that was responsible for Bright Wizards in WAR if that's any indication. Their PvP team is just lost. Their only hope is their PvE content, and that's not enough to keep players like me who put considerable emphasis on the aspects of PvP. Players are leaving Rift in droves, at least on Deepstrike, which was a high pop server.

Guys, Rift is not the fabled "WoW killer" there will be no WoW killer, nothing can beat WoW. It has been around for too long, too many people play it, because everyone who leaves most likely comes back after wasting money on other mmo's. In i say 5 years, Rift will most likely be dead or like WAR who has like maybe 200 subs lol. Plus with all the new really good patches coming out, WoW is still going strong.

For the first time since its release blizzard has reported a drop in around a million subscribers while Rift keeps getting more subscribers. Those are the facts. Rift isn't dying. It's doing great actually. WoW isn't dying either but they really need to do something innovative because the people moving onto Rift happen to be getting tired of the same old WoW.

People have already started coming back, saying things like "We're back in Azeroth once again." Now I'm not trying to say that Rift is a bad game, but it's not exactly innovative either.

@Vrojimmy Your comment made me laugh, HERE are the facts. No Rift is not on a subscriber spike, its a new game, new games always get a steady increase in subscriptions upon release. But like, Warhammer Online, Age of Conan, Aion, DC Universe Online, all of WoW's "competition" if you can call them that, lose steam as soon as WoW comes out with a big content patch and then they proceed to die off like a wounded gazelle. That's all Rift is, a poor animal waiting for WoW to pierce its heart.

@Whathedkns Sad thing is, it's not because WoW is superior to these other MMOs in any way, it's just that it's more familiar than the others are. The content patches for WoW have been getting more and more lazy and far between. I'll admit that Cataclysm was amazing with the amount of effort they put into it but with all that money behind them, it should be. It's a shame that no other MMO will sit alongside WoW, it needs the competition. Badly.
