Kryptonians are an advance race of people, they've studied about our culture for years. Jor-El and other past kryptonians have visited our country/planet before. If you are a true Superman fan, you would have known this. So Kara is no exception.

If you've been watching Smallville. Kara didn't know shit about anything. I was pointing out that it was really corny how they put that in. The directors weren't thinking "Oh! She's so smart and knows everything about the US" There are just many dumb people that watch things word by word and not as a whole.
