Cherry blossom is the national flower of Japan, but it is not only at Japan but also at Korea, U.S. ... and other countries either you guys! :)

I acknowledge that Japan did some pretty terrible things. I am Chinese myself.  However those traditions of flower viewing festivals have existed in Japan for many centuries, many since before the Edo period. What I also know is that there is a lot of resentment still around, and people want to vilify and discredit them.

I seriously doubt that 'all' cherry blossoms in japan came from korea.. lol when u say things like 'all' it discredits you in other peoples eyes because you just look like those east asians that like to use that with everything. 'All japanese pottery came from korea!' 'They took all our gold and culture' etc etc..east asia is in close proximity to each other..

Rather than say all, i think its best you stick with specific species that have been proven to be from Korea not only by 'Korean botanists'. Its important that koreans want to reclaim things taken from them during Japanese occupation but in order not to look hokey, its essential to be accurate. I am aware however that there were many Japanese cherry trees planted in Korea during occupation that were taken down after ww2 wasover

Cherry Blossoms are indigenous to many East Asian states including Japan, Korea, China. Japan has a wide variety of cherry blossoms (sakura); well over 200 cultivars can be found there.

Well, I think Cherry Blossoms are beautiful and lovely by itself, even if they are in Jeju or 여의도(Korea) or Nara or Tokyo(Japan).
