  • that day was bloddy windy

  • I had the pilot working for us the other day, he was flying for PDG and he said it was rather tight landing. He went on to say that he visited Berwick a few weeks later with his wife and thought that he probably wouldn't do it again, once on the ground a lot more of the obstacles became apparent. Great flying. We had him lifting electric poles for us After the recent snows- great pilot indeed.

  • why is there an ambulance tho

  • The rotor blades were directly above the kerb outside the sweetshop on one side and 2m from a lamp post outside the pub opposite, landed 3m east of the mini roundabout in very windy conditions, nerves of steel doesnt begin to describe it, my heart was in my mouth when he took off, awesome is an overused word...but not this time.

  • @donald195 the kurb? well the kurb must be pretty tall lol.

  • the real skill was the confined landing, not the take off.

  • Quite simply amazing !

My already healthy respect for the AA guys has just been boosted even more.

  • great skill, the pilot has balls the size of watermellons lol

  • Nice flying, Good to see Berwick on you tube. lets have more!

  • Some pilot! Amazin

  • If one thing good from this clip,is that more folk will dip into their pockets and gave more to the Air ambulance service.once more sorry for my film making skills, but im glad its had so many hits!

  • great to see the money going to great use! done a charity dance for the air ambulance 2 years ago and raised £1555 for it :D

  • If you don't know Berwick, then you will not appreciate how dangerous this was for the pilot. The road is narrow and loads of sign posts, plus it was fairly windy that day. Brilliant piece of flying.

Its about time the government paid for these helicopters and crew, instead of lining their own pockets.

  • Wish i'd been in Berwick a bit quicker. Ex naval pilot Ross Wadham according to the Tizer (local paper for those outside the area). The only charity box I put money in. The video doesn't show the street sign on the right at the roundabout as the ambulance is in the way. Very windy aswell on Tuesday. Congrats to the pilot.

  • Fuck that

  • Respect to the pilot indeed, this was in Berwick just 2 days ago, and when he appeared on the local news all he said was "Its all in a days job" LOL, crazy the most amazing pilot ever, give the man a Medal.

  • One of their pilots said he loved the job so much he would actually do it for FREE! but dont tell them i told you ok?

  • GO NHS

  • jesus H christ u cud of edited it first

  • You could learn to speak your mother tongue too, but I don't see that as likely either . . . .

  • He did say that the heli took off at 2.32..try reading next time! Kudos to the pilot for his skills!

  • if i new how i would have done,i just thought people neede to see what a good job these guys do,so thats why i posted it.

  • on another note;

Karting North East are staging an Endurance Race Charity Event in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance on

Sun 20th September 2009 . Teams of 4 drivers, with up to 20 Karts all racing at once, it promises to be a memorable event and an excellent opportunity to raise money for such a worthy charity. After registration and an all important safety briefing, the 60 minute practice session will begin, followed by a two hour Endurance race. Donations of no less than £300 per team.

  • it shows where our money goes. the best pilots possible, if he couldnt land where he did it would of been a long walk!
