  • i soo wanna watch this

  • well i think thats how THEY thought how to spell, it not because cant spell

  • did the call it bran nue dae because the aboriginals couldnt spell properly?

  • Nope; it's because that's how "Brand New Day" is pronounced in an Australian accent. :)

"Brand" would rarely have the "d" pronounced, especially with the "n" after it. In Australian English, "new" is pronounced "N-yoo-w" (rhymes with "due", hence the spelling). And "Day" is pronounced "dae" or "dye" -- many Australians actually lack the ability to make a strong "ay" sound, and instead make a hard "I" sound, which can be written "ae".

  • @Cavybeat exactly...its how most aussies talk...whether we like to admit it or not.

  • @oglet69 I see you couldn't spell the word "they" in your post. Are you aboriginal? Thought not. You're just racist and can't spell. Boo hoo.

  • I saw the stage play...and it was sooooooo good, I am looking forward to the movie....you are all great. XXXX
