All these shared touch screens will create a kind of super germ created by people who haven't washed their hands properly after having a shit or from picking bogies from their noses. Germs are already a worrying thought in places like retail stores where we all use the same machine to enter our PIN number when paying for goods.

the newspaper is absolutely doable right now with e-ink (what's in kindle). you could have 8 or 10 sheets of newspaper size e paper and wirelessly get the news. the electronics would be at the spine of the paper stack. easy.

Well today's computers with great performance cost less than computers back then with several bytes of memory.

Is it me or do a lot of future visions look sterile? Like we are all going to live in an everionment that looks like a combination of a reserve/hospital/hive/colony/l­aboratory/spaceship.

Especially all the indoor stuff and things like artificial lightning scares me. Does our future consist of losing all our muscle mass by sitting at a desk and outsourcing all our work to technology?
