My brother who is currently 13, he's in 7th grade and can pitch around 80 to 85mph. It's insane how he pitches that fast but he does it

When i was twelve i could pitch 64. Then at 13 i could pitch 68. Now at just turning 14 i pitch 72.

@gtgarrett1 I have 3 kids on my team who throw mid 80's and one is 6'2. And we are only 13.

what training do you do to get that fast? im 13 too and i throw no where nere that fast. thats like 70+

@MrM4carbine It's in Grand Blanc, MI. It's called Genesee Fieldhouse.  They mostly have soccer, but they also host lacrosse and flag football leagues as well as baseball during the winter.

i hate playing baseball in domes, the turf messes my fielding up and you can barely see the ball with the white background. i did it last winter, i wouldn't recommend it

That is an amazing stride. How did you get him to stride so far? My brother pitches and he's 5'2 I think, but he strides like 5 feet. Any ideas?

@michaelselsewhere He has always had a long stride, but I think the portable mound had something to do with it here. The mound was actually too short, so if he took his normal stride he would land on the edge at the end of it and be unbalanced. So he overstrided here to get out past the end of the mound. @stevens8401 Yeah no problem, he's reeeeaaal fast it looks like for his age. How fast is he throwing? MY brother's 10 and throws 60 with good control somedays. Others he's terrible.

@michaelselsewhere I'm not sure how fast he was throwing in this video. He has since been to a couple of showcases and his fastball was clocked at 80 when he was 14. But control and changing speeds are just as important as velocity. Good luck to your brother!! 60mph at 10 yrs old is really good. There is a video of Trevor in here at 10. Just look at all my videos to find it. You can see how your brother looks compared to Trevor at 10. I'm sure he wasn't throwing 60mph then. Good luck!!
