my elementary went up to grade 8 and both of the teachers for that grade were a nervous wreck,. they were fat old and single (one recently divorced cuz her husband cheated on her). so i can safely safe that we pretty much did jack shit. the days when we did get homework we were really surprised.
it was so much fun adn we pretty much ran the whole school. great times and we went into high school completely unprepared and stressed out. :)
you want to hear scared for high school? i went to public middle school for 5 months but i was bullied so hard i transferred a catholic school. my school now only goes up to 8th grade and i m finishing 7th. my parents cant afford catholic high school so in the fall of 2012 i will return to a place where i am hated and harassed
in 7th grade, my class sent my teacher to anger management and eventually she had like an anxiety attack of some kind and left school in an ambulance. 7th grade was definitely crazy for me too.
At my school we have freshman hell week at the end of the year to initiate freshmen into upperclassmanship. All we really do is write f on them, but if they wash it off, paddling will happen!
Grade 9 is high school now where I live (it used to be middle school a while back), and I thought the school was going to eat me when I went there. I'm in grade 11 now and grade nine feels soooo long ago. :[
For me, at the end of middle school, all the eighth-graders got to go to an amusement park. There was an assembly in the auditorium before we left. My math teacher (I loved her, she was amazing) gave a goodbye speech; she started tearing up, and then I broke down so hard I was taken to the counseling office... >_< It was so sad. I was really worried about high school, too. But it's been great so far, and I've gone back and visited my teachers at the middle school several times. :)
Love this year! Too funny. I was terrified of 'Senior Slave Day' and being in grade 11---that's when the seniors would draw on your face, yell at you, you would carry their books, teachers would go along with it.... Looking back it was 'hazing' & I know it was meant to be fun---I don't know--I didn't think it was too fun at the time...I was hypersensitive & an emotional one...
Hahaha this reminds me so much of this year for me which is 11th grade! We had so many teachers and substitutes and we didn't learn ANYTHING until we finally got a new teacher! It took the school 6 weeks to get us a new teacher! But we weren't really bad, the teachers just kept getting moved or fired or quit.
In grade 7, we were the second youngest in the school (it's the equivalent of 'year 8' here in the UK) and we had a substitute teacher that my class drove crazy. We'd constantly get her name wrong on purpose and when someone coughed, we'd all take off our sweaters. When the blonde girl at the front sneezed, we'd all yawn really loudly... She ended up quitting... :P
my primary 7 (last year of primary school- equilalent of elemetary school) class was SO bad too- i think our teacher was ready to quit the profession after she had our class! we were always in trouble!
Wow you guys were really bad! Then again, my teachers said our class was the rowdiest... and one of them was nice but we gave her a really hard time too. But I'm thinking 8th grade because that was my last year of middle school. I didn't really like grade 7.
You look lovely by the way! The blush is such a pretty color.
7th grade was AMAZING!!! it as my first year of jr high! i was soooooooo freaked out to go to jr high at first, i would stay up like crying cuz i was so freaked out lol we only have 1 school in my town so i went to school with all my elementary classmates
"omg, this is creepy.." haha you're hilarious. K dude my 7th grade teacher was an old hag. She ganged up on me so much too even though i was a star pupil! (or so I thought=P) She dumped my desk contents out all over the floor one day and told me to clean it up. I was kinda shocked. Oh and she only had like 3 eyelashes cause of all the mascara on her eyes clumped together. Something about those 7th grade teachers ugh.
my school had the thing where people write on the freshman. We call it Freshman Friday and it's the first friday of the school year. Most of upperclassman boys liked to tag the freshman but writing on them. I didn't marked though so I was okay.
My grade 7 teacher had breakdowns too. One time a girl was squeeling and the teacher blamed me. I told her that I wasn't doing anything and I stomped out of the class and she ran out crying.
I'm a twin (my name is Julia and my twin is Emily. Thumbs up if you like those twin names) and nobody at my school ever liked my sister and I. We have always been anial As and now in high school these guys always say to us, "Try one and if you don't like her, exchange her". Not funny although my twin and I were born on April Fool's Day! Yeah, my mum keeps tring to set us up with twins. Some people find it sorta cute or something for twins to date twins.
@13loveloveloveDisney I'm a twin too. Our names are Elizabeth and Mary. People always tell us it would be cute if we dated a twin and the other one dated the other twin.
Our high schools had that, it was called initiation and all the grade 12's and 11's were allowed to initiate the grade 9's (first year) for the first week by like writing on their faces in permanent marker or squirting them with water guns with pop so they stain. It was pretty bad but now you get suspended for it :p
wow im in 7thb grade now and if someone offered me a million dollars to go back to middle school when im like20 then i would not go back not for all the money in the world thats how much i hate middle school and also i still have another year
I wish I had been in your Grade 7 class SO much! (:
