  • Those fucking waders. Genius. Now where's the video from that SURGING TURGID ROCK MASTERPIECE called Keith?

  • Fantastic band, saw them live in harbour view hotel, raglan, xcellent!

  • thats my dad on the drums. WIsh I could have seen him play with the band.

  • @CadyGraceW if that's true then your dad is a legend

  • @mindbait Best drummer in NZ!

  • @CadyGraceW Your Dads band was the first band I saw live. Best concerts ever

  • @CadyGraceW I saw him play a few times... Hidebeast was a very lively individual and a great stage performer - it was almost as if he spent half the set standing up playing the drums. I met him once too at the gluepot, though aside from small talk, we had not much to say to each other. He is one of NZs legends for sure ;-) you should be proud of him.

  • @HeisW140 That was classic when he stood up. Especially when he was bollock naked.

  • @CadyGraceW Heya, I'm hoping that at a gig in the future we can get Mark to come and play (2 drummers, Mike will stil play) so you might get your wish.

  • @ Mindbait - New Album is coming soon. Got 9 tracks in the can, not too long mow.

  • @grunwelder cool yeah i saw the news on myspace (several months late but i still saw it) i've been looking around for a way to hear the new song online but have come up with zilch thus far, not on myspace or youtube :(

  • One of the best loose unit bands...I will be going to watch them when they front the STP's concert in NZ in March 2011

  • @DavidAnstis wish i could say the same... also wish they'd think about churning out a new album sometime

  • awesome!!

  • I dig HLAH- this is one of their best- it has been a few years indeed-theyre all nearing the big 40 now-welcome to the club -their album with the song wayne cotter and jellybag is the best in my book-its got a long title

  • @mike666nz Double Your Strength, Lengthen your Life and Improve your Health.

  • lol... was this really 1997? what a great year.. i think they played in shadows that year...Darcy Clay was classic too....thanks for posting this vid..

  • @jadzarooni don't mention it, this is my favourite HLAH song (along with fish across face, comfortably shagged and wet rubber)

  • I miss the old "m2" music show. For a 3-evening show - running for about 18hrs a week - it was, in some ways, more superior to what C4 is today. Nothing but music. Rock on.

  • @Ducksel definitely, i mean who are these people who actually watch and enjoy (not in an ironic way) rock of love and i love new york and that kind of drek?!

  • Friday in wellington... gonna be AWESOME

  • Saw them on friday in auckland, it was fucking brilliant!

  • BIG DAY OUT 2010!!! CANT BELIEVE IT!!

  • Just saw HLAH on Friday at The Powerstation, althoufh Booga has got a bit portly, he is still the man!!!

  • Sweet, going to them tonight at the James Cab.

  • HOOT HOOT HOOTENANNY!

  • These guys r legends, the new rock bands out of NZ suck!!!

  • fucken good shit........... love wet rubber the best

  • new zealand .

  • what about it?

  • And Yay they are touring again, can't wait to see them at Sammy's in Dunedin!

  • Faaaaarkin Love it !!!

  • you wont get music like this out of new zealand anymore.

  • @spruland We Will some day it may be after the internet is dead and buried but pop rock will die again and dirty rock like this will rear it's beautifully ugly face and tear up the scene once more. we just have to demand it and stopp prasing no talent prats because it's the thing to do!!!

  • they used to bring chainsaws on stage just to make more noise - excellent

  • Ho - Ho - Hootenanny!

  • Wish they never cut their hair

  • great!!!!

  • Oh hell yes! This song is so fucking cash.

Nigel (date) hlah - we are reforming for Homegrown and playing a few gigs around the same time.

  • Bogun music at its best :)

  • Brethren of the HOLE!

    Sadly missed.

  • BEST SONG! And there ain't no damned E in Hootnanny! What don't you have the album?

  • there is an e in hootenanny, that was a mistake on the album, then again we never cared about spelling

  • @slobberty There bloody well is an E in Hootenanny. It's a real word you know. Funny you say that because i had the same argument with Booga. Tis true, look it up in a dictionary. Hang on "whats a dictionary" fuck it just google it

  • Does anyone have HLAH's version of "Beatnik"?

  • fuck i just smoked a beer

  • i second that...im on fire please.

  • if i had it, i'd do it. i really wish someone would stick up "good advice" with it's zombie-filled video clip!

  • can some 1 please upload im on fire .......im fukin hanging

  • fuck man has any 1 got hold of the im on fire cover havent seen it in years put it on buddy

  • Yes! Spanish goat dancer should be on Youtube. I may have it on video somewhere.

  • If anyone has the video for Beatnik lying around, for #$%#s sake upload!

  • he was on this show the other day called 'pop goes the weasel' and i think they mentioned some new band that he was in, haven't heard much else about it though.

i reckon they should take a break from their current projects and runite as HLAH, they were still making good music when they split ('comfortably shagged' and 'good advice' are as good as anything else they've done) i'll put that on my wishlist next to the supergroove reunion tour and maybe santa will deliver them both?

  • Wicked - What is Booger Beasley (is that spelt right) up to these days?

  • i'll have to have a bit of a search but i'm pretty sure i just have this one and 'fish across face' i really wish i had a copy of 'comfortably shagged' lying around the place, that is a classy track.

  • excellent song, come on bro, I'm sure you've got the vid to wet rubber round somewhere

  • yesss!
