  • EastSideReaper's a fag.

  • Still can't believe we gave him that contract extension for 7 YEARS last summer....gah what a waste

  • interviewed at oci and tap room...nice.

  • Oh yeah, that booster guy (Logan Young) for Bama that supposedly offered a coach money for a recruit was found dead. Hmm...is that not horrible? Also, the head coach at the time (Dennis Franchione) had no idea about what was going on, the assistant coaches had no idea and the players had no idea. Even the Athletic Director Mal Moore had no idea. So how can an entire football program be put on probation if no one knew what the hell was going on? Please explain that to me.

  • I've enjoyed watching Tennessee falter this year, but it's sad to see such a successful coach treated so shabbily. UT showed no class at all in this. The man's given his whole adult life to the school and football program, and he's won a national championship, for crying out loud. UT showed no class at all in firing him now. The season will be over in a month -- and that's when they should have made the move.

  • I hate Tennessee Football, I just hate to see phillip fulmer go. He is a good guy, Tennessee fans are hard on him. You cant win every game. GO VANDY

  • I don't feel badly for him he put us on probation for about a decade. What goes around comes around.

  • He put yall on probation for a reason though.

They didnt just make up something

  • What was the reason? No one ever found out the reason because there was no reason. I'm glad that fat bastard is gone. He lied because he was scared of Alabama. Karma hit him quick by getting stomped 41-17 and 29-9 in 2 years. That's 70-26 in 2 years. He got what he deserved.

  • I love listening to you Bama fans blame others for problems that your are clearly responsible for LMAO.

  • How is Alabama responsible for Fulmer trying to shut down the Alabama program for no reason? Please explain that kid. He had no reason and will never have a reason. Why do you think his case was dismissed so easily? That fat ass got what he wanted and that was Alabama being put on probabtion for years. Now he gets what he deserves.

  • Your AD broke the rules dude. Plain and simple. Fulmer just turned you in. If Bama knew that UT was breaking rules you guys would've gave us up in a heartbeat, and you know it. If Fulmer never had a case, Bama wouldn't have been put on probation in the first place.

  • What did he do? Please explain it to me. I would love to know what he did that was so horrible. No, Bama was put on probabtion because the NCAA was searching for dirt on Alabama and found NOTHING! All because of that fat ass Fulmer. Karma hit him in the best way possible.

  • A recruit was offered money (among other things) to go to Alabama. Yes, that is horrible. And illegal. The NCAA doesn't just put people on probation BECAUSE. That's why they investigate these situations. They found that Bama was sneaking around and the rest, as they say, is history. If only I could relive it LOL.

And good game against Florida. I guess the ride had to end eventually, eh? Hey you made it farther than us.

  • What?! Which recruit was it? Please tell me who it was. We were on probabtion for an investigation. And guess what they found during the investigation...confused players, confused coaches and a confused university. No one knew what hit them because they didn't do anything. No one found anything on anyone. So yes we were put on probabtion just because. And that because was that fat ass Phil Fulmer.

  • Wikipedia "Alabama Crimson Tide Football" and you'll get the story. A Bama booster offered a player money. Also, they payed for a different player's absolutely absured room service bill. But here are some fun facts for you.

There was not just one incident, but two. Neither had anything to do with Fulmer.

Fulmer was NOT the one making accusations. A high school coach in Memphis was. Fulmer was just a witness (which is why everyone in Alabama wants to subpoena him).

  • Then how come none of that "proof" ever made it to the papers or the news channels?

  • Dude, you wouldn't have read about it and seen it on TV for so long if there wasn't proof to begin with. You're trying to tirelessly defend your program and say that they didn't do something when they clearly did (twice). You have no points and spouting "Fulmer did it!" with that Forrest Gump accent isn't going to change anything, especially not the fact that Bama is a bunch of fucking cheaters.

  • Dude, bro, like omg, as if, dude, um... Shut the hell up.

Until I see proof, why should I believe it? NO PROOF! How are we cheaters? Bama was 13-13 in 2 years, how the fuck is that cheating? Please explain that moron.

  • your record has nothing to do with the fact that you're cheating... dumbass.

And as for your proof: when a high school coach accuses you of paying a player, the player admits you payed him, a completely separate player admits you payed him as well, and then the NCAA investigates you and then puts you on probation, that's proof dude. People testifying in court is considered PROOF by the US government. That's what we call the justice system. You should get an education cause ur stupid as fuck.

  • No, I'm not stupid "as fuck" I, and every other Alabama fan, never saw proof of Alabama cheating. How come none of the "proof" was ever talked about or brought to the public. Most court cases involving college or pro football is brought to the public. How come this case didn't?

I hope your stupid ass knows that other schools have been put on probation. It's not just Alabama.

  • I'm not even going to debate this anymore because you don't have an argument. When people with nothing to gain are testifying that this happened, it's P-R-O-O-F, PROOF!. If the case wasn't brought to the public, how could I have found out? Just because there were bigger stories than Bama football at the time doesn't mean there was no proof.

Thank you for that tidbit of information Captain Obvious! I thought Bama was so special that they got to be the only one put on probation EVER!

  • You still don't get it. Who was the player offered money? If you know it happened, then tell me who it was. You said the 'booster club' offered the player money, so it wasn't the coach or the team. How can you put a team on probation if they didn't do anything? What was Fulmer a witness of, a Memphis high school coach talking shit? He did a lot more than that and karma hit his fat ass hard.

  • You've clearly lost this debate. I admit I had the story a little bit mixed up though. The booster offered coach Lynn Lang of Memphis $150,000 to persuade his lineman, Albert Means, to sign with Bama. Not that names really matter. Boosters are directly associated with the teams. It's like being an accomplice to armed robbery. The coach was basically "selling" the player. He tried to sell him to different schools, UT being one of them. That's how Fulmer knew what was happening.

  • Sure kid. The team and coach had no clue about it. Fulmer hates Alabama and everyone knows it. Why would he waste so much time trying to bring Bama down if he didn't hate them? See how karma hit him? He lost to Bama 70-26 in 2 years. And then he gets fired, how's that for karma? Hahaha! Tennessee sucks, deal with it.

I know you think Tennsessee is perfect and could never break any rules, even though they have had many players arrested. But no not Tennessee, they are perfect.

  • It doensn't matter. Of course he hates them. But he didn't lie just to get them probation. There were serious rules being broken and he found out. You guys would have done the same thing, so don't dog him when you know that you would've done the same thing. He only beat u guys 9 years in a row. I think I can live with that. Our program is what doesn't break rules. Players are different. Maybe if you guys recruited thugs like we did it wouldn't have taken you 15 years to become relevant again.

  • 9 years in a row? What years were that? Please explain, I would love to know what those consecutive years were because I can not remember.

  • Know what?

    Conversation over.

My bad, that was 7 in a row. 1995-2001.

Fulmer was 11-5 vs. Bama. 6-2 on the road, 5-3 @ home.

My neighbor use to have a blue tick hound. He told me, "Every time UT beats Alabama, he howls and barks all night long". I asked him, "What does he do when Tennessee loses?" He said, "I don't know, he's only 7 years old."

  • Waaa! You're giving up? I thought you you Voluntards were so much superior than us Bama fans. By the way, who cares about those 7 wins? It's in the past hypocrite. You're team sucks now so deal with it.

  • We are. You're so far below me I don't want to talk to you anymore lmao. I could lay into you on the hypocrite comment cause it's kinda ironic considering what the conversation started over, but I'll recede.

    I win.

  • Claiming to win only means you believe you won. The only way to "win" an arguement is if the other person says you win.

I know you're full of pride and you will never change. You twisted my sarcasm into your ignorance. Nice job kid, keep thinking you're better than anyone in the entire world.

  • I win.

  • "I win waaaa! Me me me me! It's all about me! Waaa! I win!"

Grow up kid. You can't provide any information to back up your claims, deal with it.

  • I've backed up everything I've said with facts. You haven't. But seriously as much as I love to hate on rival fans this has gone on for WAY too long. 4 days is enough so I'm not going to reply to this any more after this post.

  • No you haven't you little liar. I am not trying to state anything as fact so I don't need to have proof. You say you won't comment again because you know I'll call you out on your so called "facts" Classic punk move kid.

Okay kid, you don't want anyone to hurt your pride and selfishness so I'll let you go without hurting it anymore.

  • What a shame. I agree that Fulmer's time has come to leave, but what a hell of a good guy!A first class coach and person. I wish him the best in eveything he does!!

  • Totally mishandled way to get rid of a coach who, in the long term, was a great coach. I was among the UT Alums and fans who wanted a new coach, but I wanted the guy to retire and leave with respect and dignity.

I blame Mike Hamilton for this crap. He's scum. Right decision to end the Fulmer era, WRONG way to handle it. Total lack of class. This is as bad as the way he handled the Buzz Peterson firing.

  • i agree with you about one thing mike hamilton is a douche bag

  • I third that motion I hope Mike Hamilton crawls back into the pond scum he came out of. I hope somebody he helps hire backstabs him so he can know what it feels like
