One of the things that is killing general aviation is how utterly boring the culture is within it. Go to any fly-in and see a bunch of gray-haired Republican businessmen in Bermuda shorts. Okay, I'll amend: There's a horror element as well. Maybe I should quit AOPA, sell my airplane, and find a hobby with cool people. Problem is; airplanes aren't worth a shit now.
