Man, I just did this. Across the room and back.. WOW! Great exercise Danny. In fact this whole core strengthening series is great. The moves really work the muscles but I don't feel the impact on my joints that I've experienced with other routines. Now, if my ITBS will cool down, I can't wait to start practicing Chi running.
@grimatongueworm It is a good exercise, eh? With your ITBS: It's most often caused because of too much lateral motion of the hips. Keep practicing these core exercisese, and learn to keep your pelvis level when you run, by engaging those lower abs... It will prevent lateral hip swing, and relieve that stress on your IT Band.
It looks like this is an exercise that you would have to do when no one is around to see you do this. lol. I'm going to try it though, but behind locked doors. :-)
