  • i'm just unsure about how big the tip diameter is on his pool stick. I have a predator z2 shaft with a 11.75mm kamui black tip and if I put my tip as low as he did i'm sure I would scoop the ball.

  • Very good tip on extreme draw.

  • great tips here about keeping the butt end low, almost throwing your stick at it, follow through is real big and your cue must bend is part of the stroke, got to bury the bitch into the table also 2 other tips are don't be afraid and use Master chaulk cause there is some crap out there that doesn't work. Check out how much the cue bends in my video "quick game long draw" The cue ball runs like a rabit.

  • The 5 people that disliked this, have no arms...

  • @Izrhyscboi then how would they have clicked the dislike button you fuckin idiot

  • @logankennefic Tell Stephen hawking that....

  • Last time I followed through like that I had to bury my boxers in the garden?

  • How low do you hit the cue ball? I have problems with that?

  • Wow, this is an awesome shot. I can't draw like that even if I wanted to...

What happens is whenever I hit it real low on the cue ball, I scoop it and it jumps! Any idea how to not scoop the cue ball?

  • this guy is one of my favorites but i cant remember his name i think its mike something can anyone help?

  • @eh1way Mike Massey.

  • mike massey

  • i dont know why, but sometimes the ball just jumped off the table in stead of drawing back when i tried to do power draw. I can do lots of power draw easily, but when the object ball is close, it just messed up lots of times. I do not know why. I hit the ball low, i did not elevate the stick that much, my grip is loose, and i did follow through the ball.

Can anyone help me or give me some advice? Thanks

  • cuz what it's ding is it scoops the ball, it's a matter of how well the contact of the tip is to the ball

  • I had the same problem, it wears off trust me. As you get more control over it, you can direct the power low, but not too low or you'll jump it. The camera makes this shot look like he's hitting at the very bottom but if he was the ball would jump up. Your shot depends on the distance and it takes hours of time to master. Close up shot require you to hit the ball 1 tip below center while medium to medium-far shots (2-5 diamond distance)call for keeping the cue level. Gotta practice it though.

  • it looks like it is edited..

  • Its not edited. I have done the same shot.

  • i know he can do it but he probably didn't get it the first time.

  • @hayato10 He probably did get it the first time. I happen to have an amazing draw shot myself and this isn't really all that hard if you have the knack for it. I use an Ol-2 Meucci. I hold my stick with a pretty light grip when doing these shots. What I find with a tighter grip it kills the snap of the stick just a little. I hold it just enough so it doesn't fly out of my hand. It almost feels like I'm throwing the stick at the cue ball.

  • @bandit7498 thanks for the tip. im gonna try do that next time.

  • i think so too.

  • wow look how low he's aiming at it... guaranteed miscue for me

  • just keep working at it i aim as low as he does too yeah you do miscue if you don't chalk up right

  • or you aim too low then you have little mishap

  • that's exactly what i just said

  • Massey has a very high stance which makes the elbow drop necessary. With a low stance and head position, if you drop the elbow then the cue tip will rise through the ball and you won't get the draw you want.

  • don't get me wrong or anything but that also could mean if that's happening the cue is risen then your probably griping the cue to tightly like a pendulum got too keep it level too really have affect an different power swings for the draw unless your meaning something else

  • when i try this or sometimes even a simple draw, i cant get it to draw...it always ends up with a side spin, even tho i dnt hit the side...can somone tell mee what im doing wrong?

  • ive been playin for 10 years n wen i stared i had trouble with the same thing dont aim to low but low enough and the key is to follow through a lil bit almost like yoour gonna folow the cue ball

  • Comment removed

  • an always use a close bridge when you do a draw shot an what kmsbullet08 is right too but if you want a powerful draw shot witch you dont need cause its pointless you have to drop your shoulders while your follow the cue ball with your stick go all the way dont stop till your arm cant reach anymore

  • drop your elbow sorry lol is what i meant not shoulders

  • Wow... I wish i could be him (At a pool Table)

  • my god :o

    amazing draw shot :O

  • when ever i try that shot the cueball always jumps. so how does he stroke it so low and manages it to stay on the table.

  • I used to do the same exact thing unbtil I bought Byrne standard of pool and billiards and I guarantee there's 2 things I can tell you from the book that will make you draw further than u ever thought possible. 1, place the butt of your cue as low as possible, even if you have to flaten your closed bridge AS LONG as the butt is Loooow the cue ball won't jump. 2,Concentrate extremely hard on following through as much as possible, this then determines the intensity of the draw...

  • I found it really helpful on ur tip, but even if i try that, i have this weird mental problem where i can do long draw, but when i try to do short draw short with lots of power to break the group of the balls, it jumps haha. Any tip?

  • Follow through straigh through the ball! If you do a punch stroke (stop shot) with too much power at a draw angle the ball will pop up off the table! Instead follow 3-6 inches through the ball at low angles...I will post a video in a few hours!

  • i will definitely try out the tip, thanks :D

  • it happens when the tip contact the table first. if your tip is less than 12millimeters you could go like three tips below the center of the cue ball and play the shot not touching the table, now if your tip is more than 12 you could play the shot two tips below center, if you go lower than that cue ball will jump.

  • exactly

  • Your cue is prolly elevated to high. Try bringing your elbow down more and making it more parallel to the table and see if that helps. Massey has the best stroke IMO in all of pool so tricks like this are not only easy for him but expected because of his amazing and precise stroke. This is not an easy shot by no means he just makes it look that way. I saw Tom Rossman out in Vegas last year do a shot similar to this. Both amazing artists. Good Luck

  • mike massey has done so much for the pool world hes an extravigant player and he has such a stroke

  • doesnt cut at the start tho does it. accept that this is just a cool shot.

  • kool

  • it's pretty funny how it skips when something good is gonna happen!
