@sirromrecords it is a 4 banger. what they did is changed the alignment of the motor so that it can be rwd instead of awd. the motor now goes with the length of the car and not from the left to the right.
@deadchild66669 No they were all FWD or AWD. You can basically remove the front axles (Totally wrong way btw) to force all the power to the rear. But given the power it's putting out it's probably moved the engine from transverse to longitudinal.

not going to say this thing isnt fast plus i love DSM's. but this car is no way still a unibody from firewall back. It has a 4 link rear suspension. no way would you want to run a unibody with a 4link. it would twist it so bad that after the run, the left front wheel would permanently off the ground. sure its not a skin body like the vw but it is still a full tube frame. none the less its still a nice car :)

@Orangys280Z Top Fuel cost millions of dollars in parts and research, they are made of tubes, and the farthest they ever drive is 1/4 of a mile and it takes 10 - 12 gallons of fuel just to do that 1/4 run. The spoilers they have produce 12,000 lbs of down force at peak. You are the one with his head up his ass talking about a Top Fuel dragster like any guy with an old V8 truck can make one. Like jwmckin08 said, lets see a V8 stock car compete with this 4 cyl stock car.

@Necraeon Pro Stock in NHRA run as low as 6.494(2010 season) 1/4 mile. What can this do again? 6.97? In case you have you head too far up your ass, this is a Pro Stock car. This is still very impressive for 4 cylinders, but it's not gonna touch as many V8s as you, or jwmckin08, think. I swear, people that think I4s are the best, really don't know shit.

@Orangys280Z Wow. This is NOT a Pro Stock car. Pro Stock cannot use artificial induction such as turbocharging, supercharging, or nitrous oxide. This car is very clearly turbocharged. Also, Pro stock chassis are made of welded 4130 chrome-molybdenum alloy steel tubing. This car is stock chassis from firewall back. You clearly have a massive lack of knowledge when it comes to racing and make yourself look worse with each uninformed reply you make. Kindly shut the fuck up and learn something.

this is NOT the worlds fastest " 4-banger" Don Nase has a GM Ecotec powered dragster that has run many faster times than this car here. ( one video here on Youtube he's run a 6.42 at 209. @suckmy4cylinder Are you kidding me? it's a 4.8 liter custom block, using v8 parts. That doesn't even count. This is a 2.0 liter 4g63. There isn't any 4 cylinder honda in the 6's, the only thing I've seen close is an nsx engine in a hatch.

I wonder if this car actualy used a Mitsubishi transmission, FWD or AWD. Using V8 equipment makes stuff easier. From the firewall behind its a Mitsubishi? Did they made Eclipses with Huge driveshafts troughtout the car and Huge whell tubes?
Where is the eclipse, is the roof from an eclipse? Or is it carbon fiber? Goddamn it´s fast, I know, but it doesn't have much left from an eclipse. Sorry for any mistyping.
