'A'isha reported that Allah's Apostle (pbuh) went out one norning wearing a striped cloak of the black camel's hair that there came Hasan b. 'Ali. He wrapped him under it, then came Husain and he wrapped him under it along with the other one (Hasan). Then came Fatima and he took her under it, then came 'Ali and he also took him under it and then said: "Allah only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, O people of the household, and purify you (thorough purifying)" Book 31 Number 5955

the hadith is narrated in sahih muslim. the five noble individuals who have been purified by Allah (swt) in the last part of the ayah of Suratul Ahzaab (33:33), right after mention of the wives of the prophet (s). These five individuals are called the "panjetan". Rasulullah (s), Imam 'Ali (a), Sayyidah Fatimah al Zahra (a), Imam Hasan (a) and Imam Husain (a). May Allah swt help us follow in their blessed footsteps until the day of judgement!

Panj tan paak = the Holy five.

The Panj Tan Paak are the Five Purified Ones of the Prophet's family who attained this status by many incidences that took place during the Prophet's life. The Holy Five include Prophet Muhammad (sas), Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Fatima, Hazrat Hassan and Hazrat Hussain (peace & blessings upon them all).
