We are punished for riding skateboards down sidewalks, and so are some bicyclists for bicycling on sidewalks. Why should we be? What are we doing that contitutes illegality? It is certainly illegal to skate in certain areas, but why should it be? What are we doing that should be illegal? And don't say I should adhere simply because it is law; segregation and slavery were also legal at one point.

If skaters trespass, I agree they should be punished for trespassing. I'm talking about somewhere like a public park or public area. We are punished for riding skateboards down sidewalks, and so are some bicyclists for bicycling on sidewalks. Why should we be? What are we doing that contitutes illegality? It is certainly illegal to skate in certain areas, but why should it be? What are we doing that should be illegal? And don't say I should adhere simply because it is law; segregation and slavery were also legal at one point.

Because sidewalks are for pedestrian travel. Skaters and bicyclists are not pedestrians. Pedestrians have the right of way on sidewalks at all times. Skaters and bicyclists create an unneeded safety hazard to pedestrians.

Listen, I'm not advocating tresspassing, point out to me where I did. I have never trespassed to skate, and neither have any of my friends. If skaters trespass, I agree they should be punished for trespassing. I'm talking about somewhere like a public park or public area. Skaters should be allowed to skate in a public park, but not anywhere where they would be trespassing. You assume skaters are always trespassing if they're not skating in a skatepark. You cannot assume so.

A fact is something that is alleged to have happen, did happen, or did not happen, exists. Non-existence is un-provable but thats another argument.
Facts are essentially just binary statements, that is they are true or untrue, they refer to events that happened or did not. So saying that some thing that is factually wrong is to say it is untrue... follow?
