@ebaay1 Ynkliga siffror.. man blir rädd.  1985 - 86 när den sists Norrlandsbataljonen utbildades så kunde man i Sverige mobilisera över 500 000 i det ordinarie försvars styrkorna.

Tillkom 400 000 man i hemvärn och andra försvarsorganisationer. totalt ca 900 000 man.

@ebaay1 Ja det stämmer, insatsförsvaret syftar till att slå mot fiende som redan etablerat sig i landet, en rent idiotisk taktik.

Sker en invasion över hav och i luft efter låt säga större delen av östkusten så är vi rökta, vi får alltså välja vilken stad/ del av landet som ska försvaras.. tämligen bortkastad taktik då detta område strax faller ändå.

@ebaay1 Finland försvarsminister uttalade sig i en intervju för en tid sedan om säkerhetsläget i Norden och var oroad över sveriges förmåga att försvara landet. Finland ansåg att man åter igen skulle stå ensam om hotet från öst åter igen skulle bli verkligt eftersom sverige inte längre har resurser i tillräcklig omfattning och betydelse att kunna sätta in.

Jag förstår hans oro.

@0rreborre ska de rycka in med värnpliktiga. har ingen större kunskap om krig, utbildning och krigsföring i stort. Vad jag ser i världen så är det dock till stor del tekniken idag som avgör inte mängden. Att en större del av befolkningen kan beväpna sig med ett gevär ger nog ingen större vinst i längden. Rent kvantitet mässigt är Sveriges arme större och vi lägger även något mer pengar på styrkan enligt min tillgängliga statistik.

The finnish soldiers are great at artic warfare, but you have to give cred to the swedes who abandoned their military post in sweden to fight besides them, all kinds of ranks

I can guarantee you that going after swedes into a forest isnt the greastest decision because thats what we rely on and train on and we are good at it.

Same for swedish majors and captains always get a higher rank when they serve for FN and so on and are considered good soldiers,

Well, we train to fight in forrest too. Especialy in winter.

But all your soldiers are "career soldiers" (sounds strange, im not very good in english).

We have those too, but also every finnish men (and some women too) are trained to fight like guerillas in the forrests in winter, and summer too.
