@popojose09 1979 was the 1st year of the z50r but the street legal z50a is street legal i have a 1980 z50r and a z50a and the z50a is street legal in australia.
It's been a while since I added the exhaust, and the bike just sits for looks and doesn't get ridden like a normal bike. Usually when I add an exhaust to an already modified engine, I cannot tell much of a difference if any when adding an exhaust. Therefore, I cannot answer the question.
I believe it was around $240-ish with tax (im in California). It's been about 3 years.
The bike has a TB88 stock head big bore kit. I did not have to play with the jetting after I installed the exhaust. It's a really nicely made exhaust. Preferably for a custom/show bike.

I just bought one is a 1971 Honda z50 I paid 250 but I just find out that is not street legal. I`m upset because I wasted money on this crap.

hey nice bike, im getting one too and wanna mod it. when you put the 88 kit on it, did you have to up grade the oil pump or clutch? etc etc

hey how much did that pipe cost? is it loud? did you get a noticable power gain from it? did you have to rejet your carb?

No, it's not too loud. I have had louder pipes. It has a nice tone too it. Not quite--but not loud.
