Actually as far as I know Americano means American. You are right about that "no" genitive particle. But..
アメリカの(Americano) = American (people)
アメリカ(America) = USA/America (continent/country)
Slightly different words thought.
Your amerikade means btw. "in the USA/America". ;)

It is so obvious it's Japanese. You can tell by the ひらがな (Hiragana), カタカナ (Katakana) & 漢字 (Kanji - Kanji are Chinese characters).
