I don't know why everyone is hating on this anime. It's just the Japanese take on TMNT to appeal to a Japanese audience (NOT the North American audience). If they wanted it to be JUST LIKE the American version then I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have made this and would have just used the original series.

So please don't take this so seriously like they ruined TMNT or....your childhood or something like that. It's just TMNT at a different angle and (even if not liked) should be appreciated. :)

The second episode was creatd to advertise the Metal Mutants toys in which the characters gain Saint Seiya-esque mystical metal armor that can transform into beasts. The seven Japanese Mutanite stones encased in a magic mirror that control the Metal Beasts are based on the sun, moon, and the Five Elements.

I love animes, but... I don`t like really this version of the turtles. Shredder looks... like he was in a Shredder and it makes him to harmless. The Color of green the Turtles have is to flashy and pale I think.

In Transformation they looks like an amalgam of Wolverine, Batman and a Power Ranger Zord.

But thats only my opinion.
