@kriksis00 you need to equip the right class on the north vietnamese i think its a engineer variant or sniper class variant then just click to deploy them when there selected... one time my squad was running in the forest but then the punji sticks killed them all those damn poison tiped sharpend sticks (even when playing with the A.I. remember that they may be a computer but they know vietcong warfare)

BFV has got to be one of the best classic fps games, and it amazes me how fun it is to this day. Even though graphics have improved vastly, the BFV concept is still unique. On multiplayer, it is unmatched in all out fun. Dig out those old BFV disks and feel the rush of owning in a huey or flying high in a MIG.  On Version 1.2 you can still play 52 slot multiplayer on HELLO BFV ALLMAPS server.

I really wish EA would make a new BFNam version- something that could do the original BFV justice.

I played this game for years! The only reason I stopped was because the servers dried up. It's rare you get your money's worth like that out of games these days.

@ScarsOfTheCrucifix It is Absolutely worth every penny. It's $10 on Amazon includeing shipping; It's in my opinion better than even BF2. (More vehicles in my opinion; vehicles are easier to find.) All in all, if you want a good fun game that will not chrash in the next few years, BFV is your game. Hope this helped!

Battlefield 2 is in the new world and newer than BF: Vietnam but if you want war in Vietnam it's the game for you.

In like BF: Vietnam better mostly because everythings older and it's more historic than BF2.

But that's just my opinion.

There's nothing like the feeling of dropping off a squad of soldiers in a Chinook behind enemy lines... Also love the way your being mowed down by a tank then a heli flys over and blows it to hell.
