It would be better, rather than say random memories, to connect the so-called randomness together for the reader of any book.
.
The reader will automatically make their own connections in any book it reads, the opportunitiy to impose an individual bias or view is lost, if the contents of the book are random; leaving the reader supposedly, to peruse the index at the back for any connectedness with anything else.
Harold and Don please consider making a song and/or a video regarding America. At this point in time we the people need a touch from the past to rally the old time beliefs that formed our great nation. John Wayne has passed, Roy Rogers has passed......you guys are the only living reality of the "real" past we have (Great Entertainers). You have and still represent the United States of America as historic patriots. Please consider this request. The younger generation need to hear from you.
We really miss you guys. I never got to go to your concerts, mainly cause I was to broke to go. I appreciate you tube and getting to see you guys on TV. I hope you guys will still do a occasional special.
I had the pleasure and pleasure of working with The Statler Brothers as a sound engineer, back when they were doing the Johnny Cash show in Los Angele's What A Class Act. I will always remember them and I take pride in being in their presence, what a great sounding band and Gents..GOD BLESS THEM they will always remain in my heart and I feel fortunate to have their recordings and I might add their sons sound fantastic . I will be following their careers as well thank you guys great gift to us.

I stopped by the gift shop in Staunton last week. I was driving from Florida to the endless mountains of PA. A very nice lady named Adrianne helped me. Bought two shirts (And got two free autographed pix) and picked up the book.
You know what I like about these guys?
They are real.
They never went Nashville Nuts or Hollyweird.
They had a lot of talent and worked their butts off.
That is the "secret" of the best singing group......ever.
In the following 35 years I have seen the Brothers in concert at a State Fair in PA;
at the Theater in the Round at Valley Forge, PA a couple of times; in Huntsville, AL; in a field near Springfield, IL; at Silver Springs, FL ... each and every one a great concert. Thanks for the memories ...
May I relate my "Random Memories" ... I first heard of and saw on stage the Statler Brothers at Brandywine Raceway, DE with the Johnny Cash/June Carter show back in the early 1970s ... and
loved their music. Guess I was about 35 and have seen them in concert all up and down the East Coast in the 35 yrs since then ... I doubt if they remember appearing at the Firehall in Elkton, MD a year or so later, sort of the start as a group on their own. Then in Salisbury, MD a year or so later.
I love this video, thank you so much! ~OneKewpie~

Bad title.

What is crazy is that, when you tune into the voices of the sons, they sound just like their dads!

Does anyone know when/where this will be shown in total? It's a treasure, just like the book!

I had the privilege of being at their last concert in Salem, VA, and it, indeed, was a very emotional evening. They all are true gentlemen.

The book is wonderful! I can relate, somewhat, to crying at their last concert. Thanks for so many wonderful memories through your songs.
