->Goes to show how much an issue 'era' is when talking about the greatest players. No way would anyone dare to claim Kobe was the best in the league if Olajuwon was playing. Olajuwon, who had monster stats and respect in his career would've been even more epic playing against these clown centers today. Dwight can barely guard 45 year old Shaq and he's supposedly the best defender in the league. How many all D teams does anyone see him claiming over Mutombo, Mourning, Eaton, Robinson or Olajuwon?
If Olajuwon was prime today (say in the mid 2000's) not only would he be like a 4 time MVP, he'd be the all star starter every year- All NBA every year of his career, All D every year, and would perhaps have a few championships depending on who he was teamed with.
- - In other words, we wouldn't be talking about Kobe perhaps getting in class with Bird and Magic, wouldn't be talking about DHoward. Hakeem would be considered set to be perhaps the greatest of all time if he were here today.
I cried myself to sleep when they lost game 7 to the Rockets in 1994 knowing that I had to wait until next year for them to possibly get back to the finals again. But that did not happen until 1999 and Ewing was injured and could not play in the Finals. The Knicks did the best they could without Ewing for the rest of the 1999 playoffs even though they lost in 5 games to the Spurs.
It's a gud thing u dont have game 7 cuz no kncks fan wants 2 c hakeem tear up patrick ewing and especially bcuz the rockets won the championship @ the garden which made it even worst

So you didn't post Game Seven...or How John Starks Stopped Passing and Learned To Love Shooting Bricks? Typical NY Trick fan. That's why you're the joke of the league. Better hope D'Antoni doesn't like sleeping pills like Isiah haha. Oh yeah...try to keep Starbury away from the trucks ;)
I never said that I would post game 7 of the 1994 finals. In fact I told someone else, who wanted me to post that game, that I would not post game 7. Also, I cried after the knicks lost to Houston in 1994, so why would I put it up. As I said on my youtube bulletin, I only post knick victories.
I understand why you woudnt want to post game 7 -but would you at least consider posting game 6 as it was probably the best game of the series from an entertainment point of view
The Knicks much looser in game 2. I felt in game 1, the Knicks looked a bit tight. Maybe it was the fact that it's New York's first NBA Finals appearance since the 1970's. Considering the fact that the 1994 Knicks team were probably in diapers when the Knicks were in the Finals back in the 70's.
houston beat utah in 5 and had plenty of rest. the knicks had to finish the pacers in 7. and for your information patrick ewing was 7 years old back then. you were probably the one wearing diapers. that is if your families could afford them lol.
@samtheman7975 lol fantastic..

#33 ewing and #34 oakley vs. #34 olajuwon and #33 thorpe
the starting center of one team has the same number as the starting power forward of the other team
i don't know why i just pointed that out

you knew we were a better team that year, and we could have won game 6 if it weren't for that block.

ironically, ewing, van gundy, and oakley ended up getting reunited on the houston rockets in 04.

Kenny Smith! This was one of the great final matchups I've watched. Too bad we couldn't see Rockets versus Bulls, that would have been awesome.
