I appreciate and agree with the comment. If you check the date, you will see I put this video together more than a year ago - before Ron Paul was running for President. Since then, Chuck Hagel has indicated he will not run and Ron Paul is having an impact. I am now supporting Ron Paul, although I don't believe he can win or be nominated. Still, I am supporting him because he is providing a much needed libertarian cattle prod to the GOP.
Hagle is a bull. He's survived the slaughterhouse of war. He's put his life on the line for you. He's felt the grief, seen the blood and came to know the futility of unjust, illegal and immoral war.
Easy for Bush and Cheney to send our children, like cows to the slaughterhouse, they've never seen nor felt it...
hagel is consistent and has always told it straight. they can't swift boat this one. he'll stand up to whatever they throw at him. i voted for him. he's even better than anybody will ever know. a true diplomat and one who is better known outside this country than he's known inside.
The senate voted on the war after Bush lied to them and the American people about wmd's. They voted for the war because they believed the President.... your video is misdirected and looks the be the work of a clueless toddler!
"clueless toddler"?!? As opposed to what? An "infant sophisticate"? I think the video at least merits comparison with "the work of a child savante". Re: the vote - see comment #2. Sorry your candidate was wrong on Iraq in '03.
grow up intell is never 100% and bush did not lie the only lies are from left wing idiots like joe wilson who lied about who sent him to nigier, did not prove anything. brits still stand by the fact that iraq was try to get yellowcake. if anyone lied about wmd it was saddam.
I'd have to say Clark was right in '03 on Iraq, but it is not clear to me that he is running again in '08. Indications are that he will not run this time.
If only all americans could see this movie to day .... this guy's actually in control of the army of usa in iraq .... I like this .... I like this a lot....
i have to admit the guy has some good soundbytes. If he's on the level then he is needed where he is. I wonder if his convictions, or anyones convictions, can survive the soap opera that is the American presidency. American presidents need to be manipulators and puppet masters like clinton. Straight-talking honest ppl just get reamed by the mudslingers.
Didn't Hagel vote for the war? He was hardly any more "right" on Iraq than anyone else just because he said not to rush to war. I think the best shot for the Republicans is to run Huckabee. He doesn't have this Iraq thing on his hands like McCain and Hagel do.
This is not about the vote for the "Joint Resolution" in October, 2002. There were many good reasons to vote for that resolution, including a reasonable hope for a negotiated settlement and/or additional action out of the UN. What is important, is what the candidates said or did not say to the American people in the six months before the war started. Ambiguity or political waffling on the war in that crucial six months is automatic disqualification to be elected President in 2008.
Fuck it, war is an honor... I love to fight for my country we don't need peace
