We just got back from the Western and Central regions: Gros Morne, L'Anse Aux Meadows, Baie Verte. Mile upon mile of staggering beauty: pristine mountains and shore. Icebergs, moose, ocean breezes, and the nicest people you could meet. It felt like stepping back in time. I'm reading 'Random Passage' and loving it (bought it on the ferry). Thank you, Newfoundland!
When I moved to Newfoundland for school, as soon as I got here it felt like I was coming home, even though I'd never been here before. 3 years later, I'm still home. Great video!!
I think this ad is misleading because if I am not mistaken, apart from the Gros Morne shots, most of the spectacular landscape shots are of Labrador - the Torngat mountains which are harder to get to.
amazing video and an even more amazing place.. recently rated as one of the top 7 destinations of the world to travel to this summer and it definitely deserves that honor.
@FilmGeek44@FilmGeek44 If youre coming by ground, the cheapest way is to take the ferry from North Sydney to Port aux Basques and catch the DRL bus from there. Some rural areas are served by small buses, but some arent, so it depends on where youre going. The cheapest accommodations are in camping parks operated by Parks Canada, private operators, and provincial Parks. If youre flying, look for fares on Porter Air.
@FilmGeek44 I know it's a year old post, but just in case you haven't gone there yet, there's a hostel in Rocky Harbour, and I was told it is fairly decent. (I couldn't stay there cuz it was all booked up from convention that was going on while I was there).I was advised against staying at the one in Sally's cove on the ground that it had serious sanitation problem-dirty toilet bowl, lack of bed sheet, garbage pile up.Note, this was experience of one guy.I can't say how reliable it is.
This is gorgeous, but the quality of this video doesn't do it justice. Will you be putting this in HD like some of the other videos? Seriously- this is captivating.
Regarding the inquires as to the artist featured in this song, it's actually just a generic voice sample that our editing gurus have manipulated. Theres no credit to a singer. Thanks for your interest!
Hey video uploader, if we got the singers name we'd all go check her out, and never mind the fact we'd accosiate her with Newfoundland and Labrador. Please could we get her name, maybe even a link to download or purchase her music?
I drove through Gros Morne National Park during my recent summer vacation, and I have to say its a great place to visit.
The Northern Peninsula area north of Gros Morne is like being in another world as villages are situated on the lowlands, trees are smaller, and the weather is cooler.
You can't go wrong with visiting both Gros Morne National Park and the Northern Peninsula.
My wife and I camped in Grose Morne National Park and drove on an ATV part way on the 883 km trail around the province. Just amazingly beautiful. My friends can't believe the photos I put on facebook. Looking forward to going back again.

like nothing ive seen before, these ads are ridiculously amazing.. no comparison among other provincial ads, none at all.
Only want to comment that (to me) the voice over seems to bring me back to the real world, where subtitles wouldn't have the same effect.
