  • The Charm of the Highway Strip is an LP, not an EP. And Belle and Sebastian formed in 1996, 2 years after this song and The Charm of the Highway Strip were released. So they have absolutely nothing to do with this song. And to top it off, you didn't even post the entire song.

  • This is all Stephin Merritt and has nothing to do with Belle & Sebastian. Fantastic track from a classic album.

  • This is weird...I discovered the Magnetic Fields by accident when I downloaded a Belle and Sebastian album and found this track hidden at the end. But I'm sure there's no actual connection between the two bands.

  • This album came out in 1994.  The Belles did not form until 1996.
