Speechless....as I usually am after any chris colfer solo. Ok I have never really "fangirled" over anyone untill I saw chris colfer on glee. I never understood why people got sooo crazy and insane over some person that they dont even know. I mean I've been a fan of someone but nothing crazy. There are songs that Rachel pours emotion into. But she can't put the feelings into this song that it needs. For where this song is in the show Kurt/Chris nailed it.

@glee4ever28 They are starting to introduce new characters this season, one of them being the winner of "The Glee Project." Chris Colfer has said to not rule out the possibility of a spin-off. The creators are Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, and Robert Ulrich, by the way.
I wouldn't say ANY of them are overrated. They are all talented, and all contribute beautifully to the group. I DO love when they let Chris take lead, though - he gives me chills. :)

Rachel/Lea is great, but her voice is so over used. I've heard it so many times and on so many songs, its washed out. Not her voice, but just the thought of her singing another solo. Then Kurt/Chris goes and sings this and Defying Gravity, and I Want To Hold Your Hand, and my heart melts and it annoys me even more that Rachel gets so many solos xD

I heard a version of this song on the radio and it sounded almost exactly like Chris Colfer's voice; I've been trying to find which version it was. Colfer's voice isn't my favourite but I give him props for being able to sing at this range.

Also, he didn't sing live on the tour because, apparently, he was in danger of his voice cracking on stage. Most people didn't sing live on the tour, but we know they can sing in real life. He'll probably sing live this time around.

@midnightblueluver Oh that's funny, because I heard him say on the Boston Gleek tour that he started singing lessons in elementary school. The only cast member without vocal training before Glee is Cory Monteith.
@cherryblossomgirl90 Actually, I've heard him say in interviews that he never took real vocal lessons -- at least, not as a teenager or adult. He would have taken them, but everyone told him to wait until his voice changed, and it never did.
@bobbyrayfans I heard (I repeat: I heard) that Chris also said that he was afraid his voice couldn't handle the tour, because he had growth spur or something. But he didn't sing live on the tour at all! I don't buy it. And in the end, singing is really something you should do by practicing and maybe he took lessons on a later age than elementary school, he totally had vocal training before Glee. Cory is the only untrained singer in the cast who only used to sing in the car and stuff.
@cherryblossomgirl90 You heard that -- that doesn't make it true. I've listened to Chris say explicitly that he gets most of his experience from 'the shower'. He didn't take vocal lessons in high school, and he auditioned for Glee right after he graduated. And I've heard him say that he never got vocal lessons because his voice never changed.

@bobbyrayfans Okay, well whatever haha. Seems a bit weird though that he didn't raise his hand when asked who never had vocal training before Glee, only Cory did. That's why Adam Anders, producer of Glee, said that Cory surprised him the most out of the cast.
And I hate to break it to you, but Chris was the only one who lip synced his solos on the tour. Jenna, Kevin, Amber, Cory, Mark, Lea and Naya were all live. Not to say that Lea didn't also lip sync, but that was to preserve her voice.

I don't see why you need to nitpick at everything he does. He still sounds amazing even if you think Lea sounds better. He's the youngest cast member, yet he's still one of the strongest singers and actors. He's doing just fine.

Just look at how competitive they are towards Lea, that's not healthy. Also, Chris voice is a little bit autotuned (could hear those jumps / fades in the acapella versions) and he actually doesn't belt above D5, so his voice isn't really that strong. For example, I think Kevin is underrated compared to Chris.
@cherryblossomgirl90 Generally, we're not that competitive towards Lea. In fact, I only very rarely see anything negative directed towards her. The only reason we say he sings better than Lea in *insert song here* is because the show sets them up to be compared. That's the reason they hated each other in season 1. That's the reason they've sung 3 songs together. That's the reason Rachel said Kurt was her only real competition. (c)

Rachel/Lea is great, but her voice is so over used. I've heard it so many times and on so many songs, its washed out. Not her voice, but just the thought of her singing another solo. Then Kurt/Chris goes and sings this and Defying Gravity, and I Want To Hold Your Hand, and my heart melts and it annoys me even more that Rachel gets so many solos xD

Has anyone ever noticed that EVERY comment goes on about how ppl hate the haters? Yet I dont see any hater comments at all. Maybe if all the fans of Chris stopped looking for fights, they might stop finding ppl to fight *with*.
If there is anything we should learn from Chris, and Kurt, is that he just wants to be him and have that accepted. Acceptance shouldn't be about ppl willing to fight for you- acceptance should be that nobody is attacking from either side because it's a non issue.

I'm just going to love and go on and on about how damn amazing this MAN is! Chris Colfer is quite possibly the most talented vocalist I have ever heard! His range is quite literally EVERYTHING. Give him a note -- high or low -- and I can guaruntee you that he will nail it with flying colors.

I heard a version of this song on the radio and it sounded almost exactly like Chris Colfer's voice; I've been trying to find which version it was. Colfer's voice isn't my favourite but I give him props for being able to sing at this range.

Again, if that was his reasoning for not wanting to sing live, there's nothing wrong with that and he'll probably sing live on the upcoming tour.

I never said Lea can't sing, or that Chris has more experience than her. No, I love Lea -- she's an amazing singer. Does that mean I'm not entitled to believe Chris sounds better than her?
Also, he didn't sing live on the tour because, apparently, he was in danger of his voice cracking on stage. Most people didn't sing live on the tour, but we know they can sing in real life. He'll probably sing live this time around.

@midnightblueluver Oh that's funny, because I heard him say on the Boston Gleek tour that he started singing lessons in elementary school. The only cast member without vocal training before Glee is Cory Monteith.

But he didn't sing live on the tour at all! I don't buy it. And in the end, singing is really something you should do by practicing and maybe he took lessons on a later age than elementary school, he totally had vocal training before Glee. Cory is the only untrained singer in the cast who only used to sing in the car and stuff.

He didn't take vocal lessons in high school, and he auditioned for Glee right after he graduated. And I've heard him say that he never got vocal lessons because his voice never changed.
He's not the only one who didn't sing live on the tour! And we'll have to wait and see (c)

@bobbyrayfans Okay, well whatever haha. Seems a bit weird though that he didn't raise his hand when asked who never had vocal training before Glee, only Cory did. That's why Adam Anders, producer of Glee, said that Cory surprised him the most out of the cast.
And I hate to break it to you, but Chris was the only one who lip synced his solos on the tour. Jenna, Kevin, Amber, Cory, Mark, Lea and Naya were all live. Not to say that Lea didn't also lip sync, but that was to preserve her voice.

I don't see why you need to nitpick at everything he does. He still sounds amazing even if you think Lea sounds better. He's the youngest cast member, yet he's still one of the strongest singers and actors. He's doing just fine.

@bobbyrayfans No I don't know if he's gonna sing live on this tour. Never said that either. And I don't nitpick at everything he does. I like him, it's (part of) his fandom that I dislike. Just look at how competitive they are towards Lea, that's not healthy. Also, Chris voice is a little bit autotuned (could hear those jumps / fades in the acapella versions) and he actually doesn't belt above D5, so his voice isn't really that strong. For example, I think Kevin is underrated compared to Chris.

The only reason we say he sings better than Lea in *insert song here* is because the show sets them up to be compared. That's the reason they hated each other in season 1. That's the reason they've sung 3 songs together. That's the reason Rachel said Kurt was her only real competition. (c)

But Chris doesn't get the same amount of autotune as some of the other artists -- not that the others aren't talented, because in my opinion almost everyone in the cast has a great voice. Kevin has a lovely voice, by the way. I don't disagree with that. But it's not exactly versatile -- he has a sort of boyband sound no matter what he sings.

From what I see in those tour videos, I believe >85% of his fans think that he sang live. Besides, this duet had nothing to do with competition but with friendship. Chris fans are always trying to make Chris/Kurt out to be the underdog, when it's actually the other way around. (c)

What you're saying about autotune and Chris is just untrue. The autotune used on him on Like a Prayer is even audible without the acapella version and DG is really not clean of autotune and Lea is.. seriously. She, Amber, Kevin and Naya are the ones least autotuned. (c)
