  • The best ones to get is ones that is unopened and the seal is still on it.

Get one at any army surplus store near you. One day you might need one when the shit hits the fan.

  • @MrPypap WTF dude, thats a new kind of stupid, maby even a little racist

  • @MrPaypap are you retarded?

  • i never knew canadians were in wars or even made things for wars

  • i have a c4 army gasmask ... their isent any real difference outher than the army has a drinking straw and no hose

  • @ArrowSmith95 Not cosmetically, no. The AC-4 here has an internal microphone, an external port for that mic, and the drinking tube is on the opposite side, and it has that primary diaphragm flap. So yes, it is very, very similar to the C4s, however, there is just enough difference to distinguish the two. The C4 is an awesome mask.

    Thanks,

    Dan

  • @RetroRespirators oh ok well i learned something new today ... and i got mine for free :)

  • @ArrowSmith95 Can't bet that, eh?

  • @RetroRespirators haha yeh

  • this is a waste if its not for a bong mask.

  • that would be an awesome bongmask

  • i want one!!!!!!! SOOOOO BAD!!!

  • Nice Mask!!

  • @MilitariaCollector45

    Thanks man :)

  • @RetroRespirators it looks kike it is along the lines of mcu mask if you look at it ...

but were do you get one and for how much

  • @RetroRespirators question i was wondering if you could answer for me. on like a gp-5 and other masks they have the hose going from the mask to the filter. what is the hose for i mean with a hose woulnd't you have to baby it to make sure it didn't get a whole in it and also wouldn't you have to pack it around all the time? i would just screw the filter into the mask like on a gp-5 would that work just as fine?? i'm a little confused on the deal with the hose to me it would be more of a nuisance

  • @morbidangelofdeath1

It really depends on the size of the filter being used. Since the GP-5 was also used industrially as well, it would have used larger "specialty" filters. That is, filters for ammonia, certain industrial chemicals, etc. These filters were usually very large, similar to the Russian EO-7 style "coffee can" filters. They are too large to mount on the mask itself.

  • @morbidangelofdeath1

In continuation. Then you have your chemical/ biological filters with larger filtering capacities that can be used for longer periods of time in a contaminated environment. Those are usually larger as well, as they have more filtering medium inside the filter. Aviator masks usually have hoses to get the filter out of the field of vision and also to connect to forced air systems to make breathing easier and to significantly reduce fogging.

  • @morbidangelofdeath1

In continuation again. Going back to specialty filters, the Russian EO-7 "coffee can" has female threading on the bottom in addition to the male threading on top. Soviet surface-to-air rocket teams would have carried that filter with a specialty rocket propellant filter installed. Again, that is very large and heavy to carry. You are right though. Hoses are not to look cool and are avoided if at all possible, as they do bring their own problems.

  • @RetroRespirators what about if using the green "gp-5" type filter that you always see? the filters that are the 40mm size you always see

  • @morbidangelofdeath1

Typically, that would never happen in reality. Sometimes you see people putting those smaller filters on with the hose. Really though, that is inaccurate. Every mask that was meant to be used with a hose has a reason for it. If you can get around the use of the hose, then you would, as it adds extra air space to the mask and makes inhales more difficult, not to mention the problems you mentioned. I mean those filters would fit, but it would not have been used that way.

  • @RetroRespirators yeah i would just skip using the hose with my gp5 and other canister type masks cause they do make hosses for them, but i'll just screw them into the mask. hose not needed. thanks

  • My C4 aviator is black! pretty neat!

  • Sorry to ask again, but... when you say "not selling" you mean any of them right?

  • @CohenTheWhiteRabbit

Right. Not yet at least. Glad you have an interest in them though.

    Regards,

    Dan

  • Very nice mask I love it

  • That is a cool mask! I just like the looks of it...its just so cool.

  • @HonsRulz

It's definitely different from most of the masks out there, that's for sure. Very unique in its styling. Nonetheless, glad you like it.

  • Canadian masks have always seemed to raise my eyebrows they are so awesome. i wish i could find one for a good price. Awesome mask and video!

  • @TheGasmaskcollector

Hey Josh, this one was purchased on the Italian ebay for dirt cheap. If you want, I can keep an eye out for something similar. I frequent the foreign ebays, so I see a lot of neat stuff over time.

    Thanks,

    Dan

  • Wow! Great mask.... Love those 'bug-eyed' lenses :D

  • @BenjamOnToastGood

LOL Me too. It is certainly a well designed mask. Much better in my opinion than something like the M40.

    Thanks,

    Dan

  • Yes it is a medium.

I also notice the mouth cup is a dark green, my regular C4 is a yellowie white.

And where is the filter that came with the mask?

Awsome vid anyway can't wait till i get mine!!!!

  • @Jackal739

The inner mask is actually black. I have the filter, just didn't show it. I usually don't take video of the filters, if you look at my other vids.

  • Awesome mask

  • @gasmaskkid1

Thanks man. Glad you like it.

  • lucky!
