The sounds ra, ri, ru, re, and ro are the only possible ways you can use the Japanese L sound (La, Li, Lu, Le, Lo) Ru rhymes with you in english, and the o in Ro makes a sound like in bone. You shouldn't be mocking a language just because you don't know how to speak it at all. So, don't say that they would say "kirr someone" as it's incorrect and very ethnocentric.
