Even small stones are left behind. I used to sort the beans by hand, but 5 kilo's of roasted beans would take 90+ minutes. Now, the same quantity takes about 10 minutes (I took longer in this video given I was doing things one handed) :-)
I can see that you roast a LOT of beans, so my method would work: Sort the beans. I rigoriously sort the beans, and take out even small defects. Occationally I find stones too. Though I think I've only found three or four stones in the 30 kgs I've roasted so far...
It depends on which beans you use on how many stones you will find.
