  • anyone else want to see the race thats about to start at the end of this??

  • The 650R will keep up with any 600 four cylinder super sport up to about 70mph. It's the top end on those 4's that smoke the 650. But when you're riding on the street there is no need to ever do more than 70mph. I own a 650R and it is the best all around bike. It handles way better than a SS. Every time I take it up to the mountains I pass super sports all day long. Of course they catch me in the straight aways but any chimp can do 150mph in a straight line. 2 cylinders rule

  • @rwilli1228 I completely disagree. I have alot of friends with 650r's. and they would not even stand a chance past 20 mile an hour. and for the corners? no way. We all went down to pig trail in arkansas (highly dangerous and curvy road) and after the first or second corner we took we could no longer see them cause they were behind.

It depends on the rider. I know a guy on a KLR650 who leaves SS bikes in the dust in the mountain twisties. I took my 650R to the drag strip once and was up against a ZX6-R and a CBR600. Both bikes seemed to be neck and neck with me until their top end smoked me. As for mountain roads I go up to western NC every spring and summer. I've even seen 500s pass 600 super sports. This is on roads where the posted speed limit is 25. I've owned many bikes and the 650R is my favorite

  • @rwilli1228 exactly my point. alot of people do not know how to ride sportbikes. but if you were to put two people identical in skill level on two different bikes, lets say a 650R and one on a GSX-R600. the GSX-R would win every time, there is no physical way the 650R would win.

lets compare 2010 models of both

GSX-R600- 432 pounds curb weight, 125 horsepower, 67.7 lb of torque, 165 mph top speed

Ninja 650R- 440 pounds curb weight, 71.15 Horsepower, 48.5 lb of torque, 125 Mph top speed

  • er6f driver total uncapable, sorry

  • How is that even fair the gsxr is a 4cyl and the 650R is only a 2cyl
