There isn't more energy put out than there is put in. There are two separate inputs in the system: 1) the input used to convert another pool of energy into the same usable form that we are used to (electricity) and 2) the environmental pool of energy in the form of heat. The output derives from the 2nd source only. However, to the untrained eye, it appears that more energy is output from the system than is input. This is 100% incorrect. OU stands for OVERUNITY, and the speaker uses the term OVERUNITY in his audio explanation of the circuit. OVERUNITY as defined by the free energy followers means that a device can output more power than is required to operate it. A transistor (as you explained) is NOT an OU device because it does not create its own power. The claim is that this hex controller DOES create power!
The title is incorrect and not indicative of the phenomenon in effect. Overunity is a term which implies more energy out of a system than put in and to the best of my knowledge there is always a less than 100% efficiency involved. Unfortunately, you have completely missed what I clearly conveyed to you regarding the transistor ANALOGY. The controller uses source A for power to convert source B (environmental). The energy being fed into the batteries comes from source B & BEMF from source A.

It appears that you have common sense and a good basic knowledge of electronics. I applaud you! Unfortunately there are many people who do not understand basic physics and electronics who actually believe that some devices (like a so-called Bedini motor) can put out more power than they consume, which goes against the law of consevation of energy. True a misapplication of terminology is rampant in this area; however, the effect demonstrated here is incredible and deserves the focus of attention. A small quantity of energy is used to make larger quantities accessible (hence my transistor analogy). The COP for this device makes other forms of accessing energy obsolete, as Tesla indicated over 100 years ago...Google: n. zaev inductive conversion of heat to electricity.

They just make lame excuses!

One form we are used to, is used as input such as on the base of a transistor and on the output side we have the same form of energy; however, the source from which the output derives, is not the source which you would assume is the input. It is rather a different form of energy (on a transistor it would be your collector) which has been converted to the output form via manipulations on the base.

This is 100% Tesla work, although the circuit and design was developed by Bob Boyce. It is also the same circuit we use for resonance drive water fuel cells, producing anomalous amounts of gas at very low input figures.. But again, you are right in realizing the Tesla influence here :)
For those interested in this effect google: N. Zaev for a paper by that Russian regarding the inductive conversion of heat energy to electrical energy. Also look into Nikola Tesla patent number 568,176. Tesla has a number of patents based around what appears to be the same effect in this video just approached independently via another direction.
