Technically the viruses aren't a problem if you use it correctly and have antivirus, as of win 7 there aren't any crashes or headaches not caused by junk software you get off the internet. Also you don't have to be rich to get a pc.

I've been a PC user for all my life, but since my shitty Acer laptop with Vista crashed, i just bought a macbook.

I have not reinstalled Windows in years, no viruses. Quit clicking on every link that floats your way! Use your head. I don't need virus software either, it's quite simple. It's not the system, it's the user.

Stupid ad. They burned Macs as well with the 'Any PC you have will have problems'. A Mac is Personal Computer as well. Stupid marketers.

It's also pretty sad that the Mac people (you know who you are) think they're invulnerable to viruses. The stupidity of that thought makes me shake my head.

The term PC is universally used to describe a computer running Windows now, and the term Personal Computer really has nothing to do with "PC" anymore. PC is now a noun on it's own. Macs are not invulnerable to viruses I guess, but I've used one for 3 years and not once has it been infected by some form of virus. Where as I also use a PC, and something happens to it every week. That's a fact. You can shake your head all you want, fact is fact.

I have never had a virus on my pc. unless you are clicking on the "you are the millionth person on are site and you get a million dollars" there is no headache with them

God, this was exactly the same as that one ad with all the PCs lined up... every computer you have will have problems, regardless of whether it's Windows or Mac based. If you go into buying it thinking things will always be fine for the life of the machine, you are setting yourself up for frustration. Saying you want a computer that 'just works' is like saying you want a car that just idles.

er, truth is with many people who aren't computer nerds (ie. majority of the population, your mum, your sister, your grandad) they don't know how to tweak a PC to maximum optimization to avoid problems. It's like if you're not a grease monkey you'd prefer a Ferrari out of the factory production line instead of a fully modified Ford Mustang or some crap like that.

I've had a PC without virus protection for 3 years, and I've never had one virus, or even spyware. The only people that get viruses on PC's are technologically impaired pieces of shit.

So... why are top of the line Mac computers so much more expensive than any other manufacturer's? Anything Mac can do Windows can do as well with included or free-for-download software, but Windows actually supports third-party software if you find another program you like more.

Ex. You can run iTunes on Windows. You can't run Windows Media Player on Mac without any "headaches" that mac makes such a point to prevent.
