  • Great video. I was there and it gives the feeling. Was a beautiful day. Most folks would rather play than protest. This was the culmination of 4 months planning. Our raging grannies..mostly WILPF members, are terrific. All the speakers are elsewhere on youtube. All ages, all races, all faiths. If we can work together..why not the world. J

  • Thank you for posting! My dad was the parade marshal and visual coordinator... I wanted to be there so much, and my heart was there, but I live in Oregon now. It meant a lot to me to be able to see it. Thank you again. :)

  • A more relevent reason for the turnout (which was pretty good considering the state of the movement) was that Chicago was having a regional mobilization that same day that drew at least 10,000. Kudos to Des Moines for organizing this

  • Not much of a turnout. No draft, no antiwar activists. I think it speaks not only to this war but the Vietnam war as well. Cowards only turn out when its thier life on the line. Thats not to dis this group who turned out to protest thier views.
