Man I'm still on XP. Kinda wish I had a spare computer for windows 98 though. I doubt that Microsoft will be a laughing "stock" after Windows 7 comes out. All I'm hearing about it is positive things. Also, I like to use Macs for audio and video editing. Both companies have great OSs (besides Vista) and one or the other is better for certain tasks.

What I really love about these ads is that they are funny and send a positive vibe.

This video is misleading... it is an add for windows live photo gallery but the kid is using Windows Movie Maker on Vista... Yes I know there is a "Make Movie" option in Windows Live Photo Gallery but all that does is launch movie maker... Also Why isn't the kid using Windows Live Movie Maker.... Oh ya because it is worthless verse Windows Movie Maker!

I agree it's sorta weird, but I don't think it's misleading. Right now, that's the only way to make a movie with Windows Live Photo Gallery. Windows LIve Movie Maker is only in Beta -- you don't get it in your big Windows Live download. (I agree with you that this new version is not impressive.) Plus, either way it's stuff you can do with Windows, so who cares about the program.

if someone were smart, you can tell how jumpy this video is. you cannot do it that fast. now imovie starts up slower because it uses a lot more resources than windows movie maker. and the font design and clarity of windows makes me wanna puke. there is no smoothness in it. im telling the truth, this is false advertising. apple even says their iphone vids are cutted to fit 30 secs, microsoft just hides it for money. apple likes money, but they give a lot of information and good quality.

That's what the jumps are for -- to NOT to make it seem like it's happening in real time (what kind of idiot thinks it's supposed to be real time???), but to show you each step. Show me where it claims to take place within 30 seconds. The point is not the speed, it's the ease.

This campaign is showing little kids doing simple tasks on a computer. They could use a Mac just as easily, if not easier.

It's not about what you can and can't do, because you can usually get a similar outcome on either OS. It's about how easily and quickly you can get it done. In my opinion, Apple takes the gold when it comes to easiness and quickness. For example: you can get image stabilization on both OS's, but only one (OS X) has it built in, and is so easy to use.

I think you're missing the point a bit. A lot of people don't think you can do this stuff on a PC at all. I don't think it's going toe to toe with Mac products, just trying to tell people that PCs are good for this lifestyle stuff to. You can get in to point-by-point comparisons, but I don't think that's the message here. It's not always about Mac.
