hey i am 14 and i bought my own mower over the summer to do yards and landscaping in my neighborhood. It came with a snow plow and my father helped me put it on. anyway, i am getting a set of AG Tires for Christmas (exciting gift, huh?) you cant use chains on ag tires can you? and with ag tires and wheel weights i should be able to push the ohio snow right? Please comment back sir
@Paintballeretek3 I have this same tractor (John Deere x300) and I got carlisle all trail tires for christmas also! From what I have sceen two 42 lbs weights, those tires, and no chains they will do the trick. But for your ag tires, chains will fit right on those tires. If I were you I would try it woithout chains first because most likley you will not need them and you dont want to waste your money.
(I am also 15 and have 5 lawns and do work for people haha)
I have one of those but need weights and chains to do that. You must have something in those grass bags for weight. I cant believe your doing that with bare turf tires! Excellent job.
@sandvikcity I built a box and filled it with cement to hang on the back last year. Nice and heavy. No chains required. This year, a 50# bag of sand in each bagger was enough. Chains break things. I'd rather go out and plow 3-4 times in small amounts. I also changed the belt drive pully on the engine so the tractor goes a bit faster making the snow roll of the blade better.
@sahranna Chain's don't break a damn thing If there on right. Their a must. If you have traction you don't have to beat on the tractor to get the job done. Slow and easy.
bigger blade and can you tilt it froom the seat

I suggest tire chains and wheel weights
Snickezboy789 3 months ago
i would put tire chains on the back wheels so it would be better traction in snow.Thumbs up if you think so 2

@sahranna adding 150 lbs does add a bit of traction, but also alot of extra strain on your transmission

do u have weight in the container on the back?
kubotaman85 2 years ago
has you weight on the back axle
mrtantin09 2 years ago
Yes... it takes 3 minutes. The LEFT pedal is used to raise and lower the plow blade.
