Nice nice dude, sounds like a good simple VT beat.. One question tho, how long u spend on one beat? i saw ur vids how when u like set up structure for one beat u switched, which helps keep ur creativity on other projects. but i seem to just feel.... ugh on a beat, even if it has potential. do u copy and paste and then go move patterns around or just place them all at once?
Some beats are one day projects while others I'll come back to over a period of a few weeks til they sound right. Sometimes all it needs is the right snare.
I'll layer as many patterns together to start with so I can tell which parts can mix with others, then arrange them in to a verse. The rest is just going through the beat repeatedly and trimming down each pattern so they all fit together as clean as possible.
Thats dope. doin this so long i guess you got dope work habits. i think thats all i gotta start doin, not makin the chorus pattern after, do it all at once then trim it.. thx man.
