If Mendes can put Aldo on the defensive and stay away from lead leg kicks he can win. I don't see Mendes winning though due to lack of experience and telegraphed striking.  Mendes will put too much pressure on Aldo and he is likely to get caught if he can't take Aldo down and hold him. Aldo by second round TKO, mike brown and faber were years ago and they couldn't hold Aldo down. Mendes will have the same trouble. The wild factor for Aldo losing is hometown pressure.

Grey said in an interview that he believes that Aldo is one of the most complete fighters he has ever trained with. However, I think Chad Mendes is quicker and more explosive than Grey, and has a teammate in Faber who has gone 5 rounds with Aldo. Chad has defeated the second best striker in the division in Eric Koch, so he has experience against good strikers.

Ill argue with anyone when they say he has questionable cardio. The only time he ever tired fast was against Hominick cause he put on extra muscle to equal the size. He did get tired fast to but not in any other fight. Chad stands a very good chance and isnt crazy to say he can win this one. Gonna be a war
