@PhoenixFireFx He off set the movie by duplicating it multiple times and then setting each double one frame off from the one below it. So the normal movie (original) would be at frame 0:00, then the next one above it would start on frame 0:01. The duplicate above that one would start on frame 0:02. By doing this it will give you this effect. Hoped this help!

@Frenchchikn He could have also added in some motion blur effects like fast blur and did some color correction, if needed, to help give it a better look.

Where do you learn your techniques?

I dunno I learn new techniques I guess when I'm bored and watch a cool scene from one of the shows where my effects are based on. Later I flip open my laptop and just mess around in After Effects and see which tools I need to quickly re-create the scene I saw earlier in an episode.

This time I tried to emplify the drama by pulling the background out of focus..

No cuz I didn't actually cried. Check out the last view Heroes episodes from S2 and the S3 ones with Maya in it. No tears... looks like it isn't a side-effect after all.

How did you do the sort of glitchy ending between the clips? Just shooting short clips and putting them together? The filmwork on this is truly awesome! Transitions, effects, everything!

The parts with me writing and the phone, was actually a pre-scene which should've started beforehand. But then during editing I decided to turn things around and do a little inprove. That's how the end-scene happened, and you where right I just cutted those scenes and putted them together at the end. The audiom was the hardest to be honest..
