Fords, dodge, and chevys are made in the U.S. also but they're also made in canada, mexico, and venuzuala so..... They're not Japanese pieces of shit. these trucks are cool and all but really have no towing capability compared to the Ford Superduty's, Chevy silverado and the Ram.. especially since they all come in diesel... i feel like the tundra is more comparable to the F-150

cutouts means you can change weather you want it loud or not now cutoffs sounds more like what you have, very misleading but very noce truck and badass sound

@COMBATBOOOTS Ignorance is obviously your strength. The tundra is almost nothing like a real truck. Any Ford or Chevy will drag the tundra across the line. Its weak and inferior structure limits its towing compacity as well as allowing the bed to bend and twist as it encounters rough terrain. Its not a true truck, just an attempt for a japanese company to try and re-create a type of vehicle our country made. Just stick to your little puddle hoppers and leave the real cars to the big 3!

My buddy has a new ram and has had no problems with it at all. If I were to get a pickup, it would defiantly be a new F150. Ford has really come so far. I'd probably buy a used one. Either a 03 Dodge Ram, 05 F150, or 2010 GMC Sierra. Now the new Sierra is one great looking truck. If your looking to get a new car, I'd go Ford. Their new cars are quite amazing

They both have the same engine, trans and other components He has put so much money into that thing. Close to 10k. And all I needed was a $50 water pump LOL!
What a load of crap, I drive a Tundra in Northern Alberta's oil patch. 50% of my work is off-road - oilfield/logging roads. I have driven GMC for 10 yrs in same conditions and they just fall apart - literally. I was on a location recently where the well operators had 3 GMC trucks all broke down at the same time.....83,000kms so far and I've changed the rear brake pads and had one front drive axle boot leak - caused by frozen mud.

The best vehicle I ever owned was a Toyota Landcruiser (LWB) 4,2L 6 cylinder diesel, 5 speed manual, I have also owned 2 Toyota Hi-luxes (diesel and gas). As I said before I understand your perspective - I dont have the answer, who does? But I cant afford to subsidise a company that cannot produce a reliable, quality product.
@oilrush I will admit, older toyotas were great vehicles. But I have paid a lot of attention for the past decade and they are not as good as they claim to be. Every encounter I have had with a toyota was a negative experience. Its not just the quality or foreign issues, as the loyalty issues toyota has with their customers. They knowingly sold the US faulty cars at the expense of 34 lives. And they wait until they announce their recalls. We may have some problems, but at least we fix our faults.

hey man do you have echo tips dumped on there? most people just bend the pipes toward the ground but 5" tips make it noticeably louder. and how much does it run to get elec cutouts? also, does the rear cat delete cause any dash indicators to light up?
no problems yet? No tapping? I had to put my rear cats back in my 07 because it made my valves tap. Also did u do your own headlights or did u buy them? If u did at what temp did u bake them?
@phatrides222000 Valves won't tap unless you bent them which would be obvious cause you couldn't drive it. The tapping, is the lifters! My 07 Tundra does it with cutouts, and bros 08 Tundra does it also with stock exhaust. Father n laws escalade does it with the 6.2! dads avalanche does it with the 5.3! Something to do with the close tolerences the new engines. It also doesn't help when they want you to put such a thin viscosity oil in them 5w20 for the tundra, escalade,5w30 for avalanche. Weird

Nope not at all, been pulled over twice and ticketed once for em. I know what you mean, I had flowmasters installed and they were too quite. I recently purchased electric valves though :)

Dudes I did happen to have the peddle worked on. Only becouse I was getting an oil change. I had no complaints with the peddle. But after the repair wow how sweet it was. It was sticky and I didn't even know it. It slides smooth and it took me about a week to stop pumping it and start feathering it. Get it done guy tits wearth it.

@COMBATBOOOTS Some people have bad luck with cars I guess. I have always had american cars and loved them. I have so much pride driving my Jeep in a town filled with little ricers that fall apart. My buddy's new ram hasnt had any issues at all. My other friends jeep is pretty much the same as mine, but smaller, he has had horrible luck. They both have the same engine, trans and other components He has put so much money into that thing. Close to 10k. And all I needed was a $50 water pump LOL!

What a load of crap, I drive a Tundra in Northern Alberta's oil patch. 50% of my work is off-road - oilfield/logging roads. I have driven GMC for 10 yrs in same conditions and they just fall apart - literally. I was on a location recently where the well operators had 3 GMC trucks all broke down at the same time.....83,000kms so far and I've changed the rear brake pads and had one front drive axle boot leak - caused by frozen mud.

@chorstma44 I sympathise with your reasoning, however I cannot afford to run a truck that is forever breaking down - my truck is my living. The best vehicle I ever owned was a Toyota Landcruiser (LWB) 4,2L 6 cylinder diesel, 5 speed manual, I have also owned 2 Toyota Hi-luxes (diesel and gas). As I said before I understand your perspective - I dont have the answer, who does? But I cant afford to subsidise a company that cannot produce a reliable, quality product.

@oilrush I will admit, older toyotas were great vehicles. But I have paid a lot of attention for the past decade and they are not as good as they claim to be. Every encounter I have had with a toyota was a negative experience. Its not just the quality or foreign issues, as the loyalty issues toyota has with their customers. They knowingly sold the US faulty cars at the expense of 34 lives. And they wait until they announce their recalls. We may have some problems, but at least we fix our faults.

Besides, in this economy, money is better spent on QUALITY products that will give you your money's worth. I'm all about buy American, but not everything American is built in America!! @oilrush I work out in the Alberta oil patch to man, all I drive is chevys ive got an 04 silverado crewcab z71 and a 2011 crewcab z71 also I just got a new dodge ram dually cummins turbo diesel I have already put 184,XXX kms on my 2011 my 04 has 320,XXX runs perfect all ive ever had to replace was the oil filter,gas filter,breaks and tires..neither of them burn our leak anything and I bog them out. Im young so I beat on my trucks hence 20 yearsold

hey man do you have echo tips dumped on there? most people just bend the pipes toward the ground but 5" tips make it noticeably louder. and how much does it run to get elec cutouts? also, does the rear cat delete cause any dash indicators to light up?

no problems yet? No tapping? I had to put my rear cats back in my 07 because it made my valves tap. Also did u do your own headlights or did u buy them? If u did at what temp did u bake them?

@phatrides222000 Valves won't tap unless you bent them which would be obvious cause you couldn't drive it. The tapping, is the lifters! My 07 Tundra does it with cutouts, and bros 08 Tundra does it also with stock exhaust. Father n laws escalade does it with the 6.2! dads avalanche does it with the 5.3! Something to do with the close tolerences the new engines. It also doesn't help when they want you to put such a thin viscosity oil in them 5w20 for the tundra, escalade,5w30 for avalanche. Weird

Dudes I did happen to have the peddle worked on. Only becouse I was getting an oil change. I had no complaints with the peddle. But after the repair wow how sweet it was. It was sticky and I didn't even know it. It slides smooth and it took me about a week to stop pumping it and start feathering it. Get it done guy tits wearth it.
