I used to watch these Hamburg matches on Tuesday nights at 11pm on Channel 47 which was the NY Spanish station. Later they went to Saturday afternoons on WOR Channel 9 and the matches were from Philadelphia, and Buddy Wagner was the ring annoucher.
@JoeyPencils Rivera left the area while still champ with DeNucci (who selected Irish Pat Barret as his partner). When Rivera came back he was a heel. I believe he turned while in CA. Don't recall the details.
"La-deez and gen-tle-men". You know when you heard the immortal Joe McHugh, you were in for a great hour of wrestling back in the day. The only thing missing from his announcement was the immortal "And my name is Jooooe McHugh", which he would say at the beginning of the night.
Boy, That was really great! I used to watch this show every week along with Championship Wrestling! Thank you for posting! Would really love to see more from that era!
Wow this brings me back. The Northeast had some great tag teams in the 1970s: the Valiants, Tony Garea and Dean Ho, the Executioners, Denucci and Pat Barrett, Tanaka and Fuji, Strongbow and Whitewolf, Louis Cerdan and Tony Parisi, etc. A great era. And great memories. Thanks for posting, rland19871.
Sort of like a 'Texas Tornado' hardcore match! You just don't see this kind of action anymore!

@ddenuci My favorite part of some of these great matches is the ring announcing - McHugh and the Fink's early MSG announcing.
