being that Dave graduated from Berkley School of Music he should be this good. hes got his own style and in my opinion one of the best in the jazz genre for sure. He and Tommy Igoe are my favs of the guys that still play.

Ezt a nótát leszedtem....megtanultam, de sohasem tudtam zenekarral előadni. Viszont rengeteget tanultam belőle. A bandát 1986 -ban láttam élőben a Sportcsarnokban.Alig tudtam kimenni a csarnokból az előadás végén. Akkor láttam először Eric Marienthalt, John Patituccit, Scott Hendersont és Dave Wackl -t. Ők határozták meg a fusion jazz -hez való viszonyomat ami azóta is viszonyítási alap számomra.

Overplaying at it's worst. Patitucci made the right choice to skip this ill-fated reunion. When you've moved on to bigger and better things like Patitucci has (Wayne Shorter, Jack DeJohnette, etc ...) there's no need to regress back into silly over-the-top fake jazz.

Oh, and Weckl doesn't swing at all. Not one bit. Stiff as a rock, he never could play jazz and never will.

Dave weckl is not a jazz drummer like Tony williams, elvin jones, peter erskine to name a few but he is a big icon for so many drummers and an amazing drummer in every way and have been for a long time. He may not "swing" in a jazzy way but in my opion he grooves heavily!!!!

Weckl overplays......but he does it with grace compared to other drummers!
