  • Queen Amaka said i should said thank you

  • hahahahah! that was pretty cool esther. You can say that again....Maybe you should come to Abbi and see what's up for yourself my dear. Love ya

  • i am not in nigeria

  • @ esther4009 ....I'm not in nigeria as well but it doesn't really matter my dear.

  • @Edna4lala2 thanks, my mum is from Isumpe too, fun place i agree, loving it all the way

  • Some say Ukwuani is not Igbo/Ibo but I hear everything she says and sings...it is simply like Ogutaspeak! Just like an Nsukka/Ezza/Ehaamufu/Abakaliki/Ikwerre person's dialect is different so is this Ukwuani that some claim is not Igbo. Just because Benin Kingdom's influence under the Ogisos lorded it over them for some centuries does not mean that they are now Bini/Edo people. Grow up those of ya that deny Ukwuani is Igbo...you cannot change the leopards skin no matter how hard you try!!!

  • The problem is not wheter the ukwuanis accepts the fact that they are part of the igbo clan, the real problem is that the ibos in the east refers to themselfs as the real igbo.they do not want to accept the fact that their are many dialects within the igbo language so there is no way of knowing where the original igbo language originated from.

  • Angimifr,my questions are directly to you,how many clans makes up ibos and how any dialect have ibos and how do non ibos in Nigeria see ibos,a love or threath, you have to drop that foolish thought, sectionalizing ibos, stop that,ok regroup all the delta ibos to Hausa folk, then see how they will be regarded, everylanguage has its dialectical differences but still folk group understand each other, all ibos call God chukwu, they have no name other than this.Angimifr, please, commonsense is not common.

  • You seems not understand my comments my argument is that, the igbo in the east fails to understand that the language they speak is just a dialect.and that the igbo language is made up of several dialects of which the ukwuani language is part of.the igbos in the east can not therefore claim to be the original igbo.cos no one actaully knows for sure where the language originated from.Anyone with common sense should be able to understand what i was trying to emphasize.

  • What you said in fact is the truth- the great sage Chinua Achebe said as much when people tried to use or say that the Owerri dialect is the Central Igbo. He said everyone should be left to speak his or her own dialect that none is more acceptable or better than the other, THEREFORE your word is TRUE!!! Gbam! Kwomkwem!!

  • @ayolisah : for those who were not in Igboland during the war, the voice of Onwuzuruigbo Emezuruike was the accent. What part of Ibo was he? Owerri dialect is not spoken in Owerri town

  • Sorry my dear, but angimifr hasn't said or denied anything-she/he is just saying that Igbos from across the Niger, on the easter front need show more desire and brotherly acceptance of those that live on the western side. Thanks...all we need is unity. A house divided will always fall.

  • @ayolisah Owerri dialect is not even spoken in Owerri town so how can Owerri dialect be the central Igbo dialect? Onitsha dialect is spoken in Onitsha town. Aba accent is the mixture of all Igbo dialects and that is the central Igbo. Chinua Achebe spoke his Idemili dialect to a gathering of Igbos and only 20% understood him.

  • I appreciate what you are saying.....however don't you think that for unity to reign, you have to respect peoples right to identify them self as an ethnic group instead of marginalizing them.....i love the igbo people...but i think it is absurd when you insist that a group of people who have refused to identify with you are confused?

  • Well if some don't, I do accept them as my relatives- brothers and sisters whether they like it or not-and I am from Anambra state the so called Igbo heartland!!!

  • nice music from ukwuani, greetings to all indigens of ukwata abbi.

  • more of u

  • @sarify correct dude, the language is more of Benin that Igbo

  • THIS ONE IS GREAT TOO KEEP IT UP
