i have a question how would i hook my stereo receiver that im using as an amp i know i plug the plugs into the aux on the receiver but what do i plug it into on the mixer and waht conector would i need to feed the amp in the mixer i have one just like that.thanks
hi there i find your tutorials to be very helpful, i picked up a mackie 402 vlz3 to do some recording i also have a standard m audio fast track interface i was wondering how to connect my mixer or mixer and interface if needed to my laptop! any help or advice would be immensley appreciated, thanks...adam
thanks so much for writing. depending on how many channels your interface is (i am assuming it is either and mbox 2 channel or similar) you have as many channels as your interface has to record at a time. to record drums or something with multiple channels you can use the mic pres on your mackie and use it as a sub mixer to bounce out a stereo track if need be. this isnt ideal but would work. so go into your mixer, come out stereo into your interface. be careful to watch your gain structure.
UR VIDS ARE AMAZING! But i have a quesitonn and would greatly appreciate of answered. I have a mackie 1642 vlz pro and was wondering if there is any way i could connect it to my mac intel computer . And if there is a way is there also a way to record all the tracks running through mackie simultaneously into the computer as separate tracks. SO i can later go edit individual instruments on my mac with logic, pro tools, etc....hope that made sense! I also have an M-audio....

can you plug in a regular guitar or bass amp to a mixer? if so how many? And can you run your guitar directly into the mixer?
