Those are called "louvers" and are installed to prevent traffic in adjacent lanes from thinking it's their signal. Usually these are installed on older left turn signal heads.

I love your collection! You have quite an assortment of signals and signs. I collect signs and signals myself. I'd love to have an old Eagle four-way, and several old cutout US Route shields to go with it.

I love the old kero-burning switchstand lamps. do they still have their burners, and if so, do you light them?

Yes I do. I used to use kerosene, but use lamp oil now. They are cool to see in a darkened room...the colors are so pure!

VERY NICE COLECTION. How many signals do you have? I have two myself. One is LED and one is incadescent. I don't have a real controller. I just have a little lights to go changer. I want a real one someday but dont know how to get it to work.

Thank you! I now have 101 signals. It's has been collecting them over a span of almost 30 years! Real controllers are a blast to hook up and program. If your electrical knowlege is limited, an electromechanical controller is easier to hook up.

Several are. There is a Econolite "F", a GE F, and several Eagle Electromechanical controllers running and can be heard on the video.
